Rev A.. Enabled or Disabled?

I believe I already have the new radio (3.37.15??). I think JD's rom is based on the leaked ROM. I have flashed the sprint leaked ROM twice now and ended up going back to JD's latest lite ROM. Any way to check this?? When my phone starts up it says 3.37.15 in red....

maybe you are not in a RevA coverage and with it on you get slower speeds because of the coverage. With it off it doesnt try to do RevA and therefor it can go a bit faster

Maybe this is a tad unrelated but I also do not see the RevA option, but maybe because Bell Mobility has not rolled it out into Canada yet? Can anyone else on Bell confirm this?

I have the same problem (also on bell) I got GPS going 3.37.10 Radio but no REV A option.

I don't know why people keep saying they can't find any other posts regarding this issue. It's been discussed in many different threads ever since Sprint released the Rev A update for the mogul a couple months ago. All you have to do is SEARCH. As I have said before, it has been confirmed that disable = ENABLED and enable = DISABLED. Either way, it won't make too much of a difference in your download speeds because Rev A increases upload speeds more than anything.

I haven't tried to search since it doesn't really matter to me either way, but one reason I can think of is that enable and disable are pretty common words on this site, so searching will probably show a ton of unrelated threads.

EDIT: And that has been confirmed on the Titan, but nobody has really confirmed it on the Touch yet.

On the MOGUL w/ 3.35 ROM "disable = enable".

On the TOUCH w/ leaked 3.02 ROM "enable = enable"

Tested, I get twice the throughtput and half the latency.

Here are my speed tests using the same server from the same location, with the same signal strength only minutes apart:

With setting showing enable:


With setting showing disable:


So based on that, I would say that on the Touch with the leaked ROM, Enable = Enabled, unlike the Mogul.

I'm not sure how true that is because people have been reporting speed differences and ping differences. Granted and any given moment a connection to a server might be different, it does appear to make a difference.

Those that say Enable=Enable have consistently gotten faster uploads and lower pings than when its set to disable.
