No, PPCKitchen currently... I'll be going to NFSFAN's in a while once I get some time.

Re: Anyone using iGO 8

Another problem I have... which I'm not sure if there is a fix for.

I've got the TTS voices installed (Susan Hi-Quality) but the volume of that TTS voice is so much quieter than the other non-TTS voices... not sure if anyone has a fix for that?

Same here. I have had it with the "almost oem rom" and the newly released Sprint Rom.

Soft reset and its gone, but annoying as hell. I can't get the internal GPS to work with the new rom and iGO8 either. Will try the astro soon.

I've always had to use AstroLauncher with the internal GPS.

Re: Anyone using iGO 8

So IGO 8 not launching isn't specific to a custom ROM. It appears to be related to the revision of Wm6.1 you are running. I used to run mustan-tech WM6.1 ROM (an early version) and it launched everytime. After upgrading to NFSFan's ROM, and hence a newer revision of WM6.1, the problem appears.

I tried to disable the HTC home plugin. It indeed solved the problem for me.
But then I re-enabled the plugin, and iGo8 started again fine.

Re: Anyone using iGO 8

Same issue with the new official Sprint rom. Strange, I was able to get it past the loading screen by actually turning the screen off and on repeatedly, and once I screwed around in that fashion...the program became more and more responsive until it worked fine. This was WITHOUT "priming" the GPS (I typically use TGPS to start up the GPS).

I plan on playing around with it more to see if there is another way to get it working properly from the start.

---- Revision ----
I reset the device, loaded up TGPS, loaded iGO up, and it started up immediately.

Re: Anyone using iGO 8

astrolauncher seems not to be working with the new sprint rom I have tried both manual install and via a .cab It makes the correct directory and the launcher is there, but it doesn't start.

Nor does the iGO8 .lnk work to start up astro and igo8

any ideas?

i'm using the same setup to start igo on my Touch (with the newly released ROM) and it's working for me. i had to modify the shortcut to point to my storage card before it would launch iGo 8. i loaded iGo8 to my storage card so i would not have to reinstall each time i change a ROM. now, all of this doesn't mean that astrolauncher is working; it means the shortcut to start astrolauncher and igo8 is - at least - launching igo8.

EDIT: upon further review, astrolauncher must be working; if i launch igo8 via igo8.exe, there's no GPS signal. launching from the shortcut, GPS is activated and ready to go...
