You can't. Sprint et al. have boot and sub splash set to the same picture, that's why you think it's disabled.

I also receive the Camera error when trying to open it. I am using Cokeman .40 loader and buildos with vougue but not the rev 3. Installed the cab for Camera and moved the files to window dir and all works

Re: Vogue/Touch Kitchen (GPS & No GPS versions)

Ok to fix the issue with the orientation of HTC Album being portrait you need to edit your shortcut.

Goto \Windows\startmenu\programs
Find your shortcut to htc album and click on it and select properties
Select the shortcut tab and enter the following
"\Windows\HTCAlbum.exe" -mode:camera -type:image

This was done using GSfinder so if you use a different file explorer the above direction may vary slightly depending on how you get to the "Shortcut" settings.

Re: Vogue/Touch Kitchen (GPS & No GPS versions)

A Question about the Kitchen?

I downloaded osbuild, ran the updater, everything worked great ... sortof

I started getting virus warnings from Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2008 ... all of the infected files came from the updater temp folder ... anyone else seen this? I deleted the temp folder ... but I'm a little concerned about these viruses ... my virus protection was unable to do anything but warn me (ie: couldn't remove the virus, couldn't quarantine the virus) ... my only option was to remove the files ... I decided to uninstall the entire program ... reran the virus scan and all is clear again ...

I like the kitchen ... but ... I'm worried about the possibility of corrupting data on my laptop ... this is the same laptop that has all the data for my business ... I ran the virus scan on my portable hard drive (my backup device) and somehow the viruses where there also (in my backup of the kitchen) ... after I deleted the files there the scan is clean again ... so no real harm yet ... but still concerns me ... I would of never guessed I would of had problems from anything gotten at this forum ... maybe it didn't come from ppcgeeks ... maybe the viruses came from my internet provider (hi speed dsl cable) ... I don't know how these things work ... but I certainly can't afford to start loosing data or programs ... I lost a laptop last december to a nasty virus (my bad, opened an email I didn't know where it came from ... immeadiately I got warnings ... but this thing worked fast) ... destroyed the ram ... I was lucky ... HP was so interested in the virus that they gave me a new laptop for my contaminated laptop ... so all ended well

Hope this doesn't upset anyone .. I'm not in any way blaming ppcgeeks ... just warning others incase ... maybe someone connected to the kitchen can verify its not the kitchen files ... I'm guessing it's something to due with the downloading in the updater since all the contaminated files where in the updater temp file ... probably my internet provider ... but like they say ... an once of provention is worth a pound of cure ... hope this helps someone

I think you got a false positive from your antivirus program. I have been running this w/ Symantec Corporate Edition and AVG without any issues. If something was really up... I would suspect that it would of already been mentioned here or in the Titan realm.

Ok I am a computer tech so lets look into this a little further. What kind of Virus did it say it was detecting? Can you re-scan your portable HD with the info and take a screen print? I know some Virus scanners scan for Span and do various other things that could mistake some info or it could be looking for other traits and just assuming it is a virus. Symantec has a large database of definitions and like mrgeoff said if there was an issue with the program it would have set it off as well. If you can get that info for me I will look into this so everyone can be at ease.

Re: Vogue/Touch Kitchen (GPS & No GPS versions)

The only issue we are aware of is some antivirus programs do not like running executables from the temp dir. You should be able to scan C:\program files\ppckitchen.org\buildos folder, and if that comes up clean, then your temp dir warning is because of the aformentioned running of executables from temp. If that does not come up clean, then you have problems that need further investigating.

You said they came from updater temp folder...your virus program is probably a little overactive. Again, scan c:\program files\ppckitchen.org\buildos and see if it comes up clean. Your inability to delete/quarantine is probably because the files were already deleted by updater.

Re: Vogue/Touch Kitchen (GPS & No GPS versions)

gguruusa,

Do you know of an easy way to integrate dlls/modules into a kitchen? I was wanting to place the rilphone and the battery dll oems into my kitchen, but the module ones don't play nice since they are not a single dll.

Re: Vogue/Touch Kitchen (GPS & No GPS versions)

I used the OEMizer to convert Spb Backup to an OEM, which I used with the kitchen with my 6700. The OEM is not working with the vogue; the program is there and appears to work, but when you go to backup, it doesn't work (screen opens and little box spins but doesn't actually backup). Any thoughts?
