If that does not come up clean, then you have problems that need further investigating.

You said they came from updater temp folder...your virus program is probably a little overactive. Again, scan c:\program files\ppckitchen.org\buildos and see if it comes up clean. Your inability to delete/quarantine is probably because the files were already deleted by updater.
I think you hit the nail right on the head ... I'll admit I freaked out about the warning and deleted the temp folder right away ... the virus program said it was a "low risk" problem and that all I had to do was not execute the files ... I probably just over reacted and paniced ... I'll load it again and see if I can reproduce the error messages ... I don't know how to do a screen shot of my pc ... any help there or should I just try copy and paste? ... or just write the error message down ... how this first came up though was I got a warning ... something about a trojan horse ... but I'll try to reproduce it again ... I do have a backup puter now ... it's vista so I just save it for emergencies

Unless you get the error from scanning c:\program files\ppckitchen.org\buildos, don't bother posting anything about the error message - it's a false positive.

Re: Vogue/Touch Kitchen (GPS & No GPS versions)

Okay ... I redownloaded OSBuild from the "manual download" link in the first post of this thread ... I reloaded osbuild ... ran the updater ... opened the kitchen ... Closed the kitchen ... ran the virus program scan ... it gave me the following virus warning:

Possible: DRPR-3
File Name: TierAutoinstall\tautoinstall.exe (C:Program Files\PPCKitchen.org\BuildOS\Kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEM .RAR)

By clicking on "More Information" I got this (copied and pasted)

Aliases: Backdoor.Win32.Ciadoor.ar (Kaspersky), Backdoor.Ciadoor (Symantec), TR/Crypt.CFI.Gen (Avira), Mal/Packer (Sophos),
In the wild: Yes
Overall risk rating:
Low Description:
This is the Trend Micro detection for suspicious files that manifest similar behavior and characteristics as that of TROJ_AGENT, TROJ_SMALL and TROJ_DROPPER variants.
If your Trend Micro product detects a file under this detection name, do not execute the file. Delete it immediately especially if it came from an untrusted or an unknown source (e.g., a Web site of doubtful nature). However, if you have reason to believe that the detected file is non-malicious, you can submit a sample for analysis. Detailed analysis will be done on submitted samples, and corresponding removal instructions will be provided, if necessary.
For support on detected files, samples may be submitted to Trend Micro. Detailed analysis will be done on submitted samples and corresponding cleaning instructions may be applied, if necessary.

Tell us how we did. Take our quick survey.

Hope this helps ... if I'm not mistaken, PPCGeeks_OEM.rar is where all the oem's for the kitchen are stored ... I'm not sure That a DRPR-3 is a dangerous thing ... sooooo I have no idea what all that means ... but it gives it an overall risk rating of "LOW"

If someone can tell me how to do a screen capture of my laptop I'll do that ... but I wrote down what it said

It's probably a false positive ... but I'd kinda like someone who knows what the heck Trend Micro is talking about to confirm that ... just to be sure

Re: Vogue/Touch Kitchen (GPS & No GPS versions)

Given that that isn't even a windows program, it's a false positive. You can safely ignore any threat found within the .rars.

It is possible the files in the kitchen have the same signature (a certain sequence of code) as a windows virus, but this is arm processor code, so why the alarms? I myself feel it is safe. ggurusa and tierman have contributed way too much for this community to do anything like releasing a virus.

I do this by finding it in the rom before buildOS and have had no problems just replacing the original file.

lol I was afraid of that. I would of already done that if I had something to put it back into the rar file

Know of something free that I could use? 7-Zip is slacking in that department.

Re: Vogue/Touch Kitchen (GPS & No GPS versions)

This kitchen is awesome I already made a fairly close version of a Sprint OEM ROM (I was shocked to see that I had 159mb of free space after flashing this ROM), just cant get the music store to work properly. The GPS works like a dream with this kitchen, I'm getting around 5-6 locks outside and it takes around (20-30 seconds for it to lock after a soft reset, then its around 10sec). Also for those that have trouble with the GPS turning off after the phone goes into standby, this works for me:
If you are using Holux GPS viewer, make sure you close the GPS before putting the phone in standby, same goes with any other program using the GPS, make sure you close them and close the GPS before going into standby, I have done this since JD's test ROM and I can always turn it back on after coming back from standby.

Thank you for this.

BTW I did notice that I'm not getting Rev A speeds, I'm in NYC and I tethered and ran a speed test and got around 800kbps down and 100kbps up, that doesn't look like Rev A, cause that was the same speeds I was getting with Rev 0. When I was running JD's test ROM I had 1400kbps down and 320kbps up, anybody else having speed issues with this kitchen?

Well on my Vista machine all the temp stuff is in C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Roaming\hIq Inc\PPC-BuildOS\9.05.2.7Temp

including the cooked ROM, I dunno if you can delete all of it, because it contains the RUU folder. Or I guess the whole this is rebuilt when the program starts to cook.
