Re: Vogue/Touch Kitchen (GPS & No GPS versions)

gguruusa,

Do you know of an easy way to integrate dlls/modules into a kitchen? I was wanting to place the rilphone and the battery dll oems into my kitchen, but the module ones don't play nice since they are not a single dll.

It is possible the files in the kitchen have the same signature (a certain sequence of code) as a windows virus, but this is arm processor code, so why the alarms? I myself feel it is safe. ggurusa and tierman have contributed way too much for this community to do anything like releasing a virus.

I do this by finding it in the rom before buildOS and have had no problems just replacing the original file.

lol I was afraid of that. I would of already done that if I had something to put it back into the rar file

Know of something free that I could use? 7-Zip is slacking in that department.

Re: Vogue/Touch Kitchen (GPS & No GPS versions)

This kitchen is awesome I already made a fairly close version of a Sprint OEM ROM (I was shocked to see that I had 159mb of free space after flashing this ROM), just cant get the music store to work properly. The GPS works like a dream with this kitchen, I'm getting around 5-6 locks outside and it takes around (20-30 seconds for it to lock after a soft reset, then its around 10sec). Also for those that have trouble with the GPS turning off after the phone goes into standby, this works for me:
If you are using Holux GPS viewer, make sure you close the GPS before putting the phone in standby, same goes with any other program using the GPS, make sure you close them and close the GPS before going into standby, I have done this since JD's test ROM and I can always turn it back on after coming back from standby.

Thank you for this.

BTW I did notice that I'm not getting Rev A speeds, I'm in NYC and I tethered and ran a speed test and got around 800kbps down and 100kbps up, that doesn't look like Rev A, cause that was the same speeds I was getting with Rev 0. When I was running JD's test ROM I had 1400kbps down and 320kbps up, anybody else having speed issues with this kitchen?

hmm... I'll play around with it when I have a moment this evening. I just didn't think I would have success w/ the module. I know the dll would be fine as an oem.

Turn off the green signal LED without needing a background application to stop the blinking (nueLED).
