I found an OEM and a cab for the original Touch Keyboard and Keypad in OMJs folder(Thanks OMJ) on the FTP.

I put the OEM into the kitchen but couldn't find it in the settings when I ran the kitchen. Unchecked HTC Touch Keyboard - HP.
Flashed and there it was. Doesn't work on the today screen with live search but it works in Notes, Text Msgs, etc

the phone app keeps popping up after i close the settings folder, and it pops up randomly after closing random applications and things..

It is a little sad that the BuildOS couldn't be run offline when you don't have the internet... I think it would be nice if the programmer left the often of working offline or by simple cancel out the log in.

I am a noob so bear with me...

My wife just upgraded to a used ebay special xv6700 and I use a work issue xv6900. I am looking at upgrading my wife's 6700 using Kitchen. I have downloaded and installed BuildOS and the wm6.1 for apache .rar files. BuildOS works wonderfully and loads good and I can go through and select the different options etc.

I have a few questions because I dont want to mess up her new/used phone.

1) If I mess up can I go back to the out of the box wm5 build? If so how?

2) Can someone tell me some basic selections to have stability for her device. Nothing fancy but cool looking would be nice.

3) Is there anything that I should be aware of so I dont brick the phone?

Here are some of the specs from the device:
Rom vers: 2.07.20 wwe
Rom date: 2/24/06
Radio vers: 1.10.00
Hardware vers: 0041

On a second note... I was playing around with BuildOS and when I create a new build I get the following error.

You can go back by using the stock ROM

Check out some of the precook ROM before building your own
some of them come with a lot of crap... but try them out and see which you like and which you don't.

Dont' know what causes the Greloc error.
For your second issue, install ActiveSync 4.5.

I don't know how to get AutoRun to run on the first boot. Selecting SDAutoRun doesn't work. Any advice guys?

Use this OEM instead, you may get a duplicate file error, but just say yes to overwrite......

ok, for the animated gif, there are 2 ways....

1. select the Startup Animation OEM in BuildOS, then copy your animation gif (whether it be sprint or whatever) to any USER_OEM that will be included in your rom, you will need to rename the gif to WMStartup_ani.gif. You will also be prompted to overwrite the original WMStartup_ani.gif during the build.

2. Just use this OEM I made, it has the Sprint gif....
