Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

Downloading the 10/28 build right now. I had some issues with the 10/23 build, hopefully, they'll be worked out with this one.

Cookers, when are we going to see a flashable ROM image? I'm counting on you guys.

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

Sorry if double post, but thought i'd share something that someone found over at xda.

To sync contacts, you can use a service called funambol until it gets figured how to sync from your google account.

http://my.funambol.com/

goto the website and signup. You can sync to your account my downloading the WinMo client or if you use outlook on your computer, you can get the outlook plugin.

Then all you need to do is download the opensource android funambol client and it'll sync to your android.

Jim,

I tried loading it to my SD card and it freezes up. Can you provide steps to install it?

Thanks

what size of card are you using?
do you have any other files named system or data in the root of your card?

I would recommend deleting everything, redownloading, unzip the entire folder to the root of your card in a folder called "android 29-10-08" or whatever. then cut and paste the data and system files to the root of your card.
then make a folder called "android" in the root of your device. then cut and paste the remaining files from your android 29-10-08 folder into this folder. then run haret.exe.

Try soft-resetting if it still doesnt take.

This should be a really easy thing, I'm really not sure why its giving you guys problems.

Also try a different (hopefully name brand and smaller) card if it doesn't work and you have one handy.

Good luck!
Jim.

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

Jim,

Thank you for the step by step instructions, got it going. Now with the app that are in a separate link, are those needed or are they built in?

Thanks again

Hey ya no problem. Updated OP accordingly.

Uh well some are built in my dzo, packages such as settings, email, etc....

Others that you want, just download them (saving them as .apk files), store them in a folder called AndroidApps on your sd, then when you boot up android it will read from that folder and install them.

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

hey guys who are having problems, remember to have gps completely inactive/disabled before booting into android.

you also need to be updated to the latest radio for all of this to work.
