careful...... you would be surprised if this really is a worm.! Typical worm effect. You install nothing and suddenly your language changes on yor browser... then fixes itself. Could have been a dry run worm.

Re: Websites coming up in spanish

A worm does not necessary need to survive a hard reset. A worm bounces around the web and infects open ended securities on PC and PPC's. Even if you got rid of the work after a hard reset it will pop up as soon as you connect online again.

Re: Websites coming up in spanish

but once your device has been infected then it says infected right? my problem lasted for about 1 day then after I preformed the steps in post 2 the problem went away and hasn't came back. I dont think it was a virus. my guess is it has something to do with the sprint network

by the way Kanja is your internet fixed or is it still in Spanish?

Re: Websites coming up in spanish

Uh...right. In 20 years of computing I've never...NEVER...had a virus on any machine I've ever owned. Never once. And this isn't a virus either. Or a worm or whatever else you want to call it. This is what's known as "sh*t happens". Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Re: Websites coming up in spanish

Great, the ol' Spanish Worm Virus...a.k.a. Jose

Kanja,
Sounds like you need to reflash your ROM and watch what you install, who's rom u choose, and what you do to your rom of choice. I erradicated quite a few so called 'virii' in my day. Most were caused by that damn keyboard and mouse. If it weren't for human input....

Save yourself some heartache and tons of time. It's not worth the frustration when flashing is so easy and quick. Reflash and save yourself some gray hairs.

Re: Websites coming up in spanish

Thank's for the help. I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one with this problem. It seems to have went away on it's own for now, but for awhile it was come and go.

Sprint recently upgraded my area to EVDO coverage, (IPCS affiliate area) so it's very likely that they did something on there end to mess things up.
It could have been something to do with that I have a Sprint corporate account(SERO) in a affiliate area. I dunno? Maybe it was fixed when I ran memaid?
