Websites coming up in spanish

I am using no2chem's WM6.1, and now whenever I go to a website with Opera, PIE, or even tethered to my PC Google comes up in Spanish.

I have eastern time zone set and regional settings are set to english. Is there a registry key somewhere that defines this?

I've searched and haven't found a solution to this other then to reload another rom, which I really don't want to do.

that hopped to me about a weak after I got my phone it was mostly stock no registry changes and just a couple of programs installed. mine was in japans though. i called sprint tech support and thy had me do a hard reset did not fix it. I finely after much trial and error i went into Settings, regional settings and change my setting form us English (what it was set to before) to any other language then back to English the soft reset. I also went in to Phone, Settings internet then get settings then start I dont think that last step fixed anything but that's what worked for me. good luck

I think it has to do with the IP range that sprint is serving you.. it's possible that they aquired new IP blocks which used to belong to other countries:)

I wonder if its just the touch or if other phones are having this problem. the guy i talked to from Sprint had no clue he seemed to think it was a virus but he also had no idea how to fix it so i dont consider it a reliable score.

Viruses will do that. i wonder how secure is this unofficial WM 6.1 is.

I am a little paranoid now cuz I look up my Bank account from EDVO.

I had the same issue when I first flashed to 6.1, but by logging into Google under my account, it quickly went away and I did not see the issue on any other site after that.

I highly doubt it's a virus, htcuser.

Why would he say that? Windows Mobile devices are susceptible to worms, viri, scripts etc..

Someone using blue tooth hacks accessing your phone when they are near by and infect you, is very common.

Same goes with warez, leaks and hacks found on the net. I am not saying the actual author will release an infected file, but those .zips .rar etc files run thru other systems infected, thus infecting the files they host/share etc..

SpyBot, Symantec, Mcafee and Kapersy all make PPC antivirus programs.

I was wondering myself why my websites were coming up in spanish... But this only happened after installing some cabs, which I forget..
