Re: How-to: Cube Edits/mods/creation
Sorry I just saw the info I needed a few pages back. I've looked at so many different posts they all seemed to blend together and I couldn't remember where I saw it. Another question though which I didn't see in this post is how do I disable the mediahubmini and still have 4 sides to my cube. I noticed that the mediahubmini registry values are different then the APLauncher values (there are no size or position values). Is this something that just needs to be added to make the mediahubmini function like an APLauncher or is there another way?

All the program's references are in: HKLM\Software\HTC\Biotouch\Biotouch\App(whatever number it is) Set up another APLauncher (see "Adding Sides To the Cube" in the How to) and instead of adding another App# value, change the one for MediHubMini.

Re: How-to: Cube Edits/mods/creation
Thanks Musicman247 just to clarify do I change all of the values and folders for the mediahubmini to match the APLauncher because I noticed that there where no settings in the mediahubmini for adjusting the size of the buttons or the location. So if I wanted a 4 side cube 1 quick dial and 3 APLaunchers would I have the APLauncher, CustAPLauncher and mediahubmini all with the same settings except the path and location of .brn file. Also I assume that I need to add a binary value to the 2nd Biotouch folder for the order of the .brn files for animation (07 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 0A C8 C9 CA CB 13 14 15 16 17 01) of coarse it would be different then this one. Thanks again

Re: How-to: Cube Edits/mods/creation
you wouldn't change the MediaHub settings at all. Instead you will add another APLauncher (program, registry settings et al), which i guess you could call CustAPLauncher2. Then change the "App#" value to APLauncher \Windows\CustAPLauncher2exe
does that help explain? if there is no reference to MHM, then it will not show or load |

I am using the new firmware, WM 6.1. i tried to install a 6-panel 4th side to the stock 3-sided cube and have failed several times. I am using the ACustAPLauncher and duplicating App0 - PP5 from the APLauncher Key. I get an error in BioTouch.exe when I swipe to the 4th side, asking me to report the error. The screen also loses the top "start bar". Any ideas?
Thanks, Geroge

Changing iCube icons
I'm experiencing the issue of being unable to modify the icons in my iCube launcher pages. I can change the name of each icon, and the program it points to, but the icon stays the same (despite being correct in the registry). For example, I am trying to replace the "Money" icon. I even went so far as deleting the money.brn and money_HL.brn files, but after a soft reset the icon still shows! This seems particularly mysterious-- where is it getting that image?
My phone is an HTC Touch Enhanced (GSM). Everything else with iCube is working perfectly. Help! |

Okay so I figured this one out-- the image was coming from the static animation file (either C0.brn or D0.brn). By modifying that one I was able to replace the icon.

Re: How-to: Cube Edits/mods/creation
Couple questions...
1) I cannot find out how to update the .brn files, they are read-only. Is there any possible way to just update those files w/o redirecting the regristy to a new file? 2) Has anyone modified the Quick Dial Screen. I understand what images to work with but, because of the above question I am unable to edit them. Also I tried looking the registry for where the QD_Bkgd.brn file is refrenced and could not find it. I couldn't even find any configs for the Quick Dial at all. Any help is always much appreciated. |

2)Same thing. Quickdial stuff is not really referenced anywhere, it was just all figured out through trial and error. Hope this helps. |
