Alright, we've started taking action.
Members on xda have started sending messages to people who have purchased this software from this seller. I haven't really looked at his eBay ad but his wording is what is important. He could say the apps are free but the CD and/or shipping isn't and that's what people are paying for.
He still should give credit to the authors and post the corresponding sites because he could possibly still make money (throw some kick back/donations to the authors), some people are lazy and instead of spending time searching for the apps, they buy them bundled. I know I have spent literally two+ weeks figuring out things, I had the Mogul for a week now the Touch...but before that I had Palm for years so I'm learning stuff all over again...and it's time consuming. But I love it!! cause I'm a geek. |

i havent thorughly looked at the page, but...
are you guys sure he isnt selling text instuctions with links to download ONLY? or is he putting the files on cd as well?? that could be two totally different things, but this guy is a nub****. |

I'm not endorsing or condoning his behavior by any means, just that there may be loopholes for him to jump through.
I just hope that bringing it too light doesn't cause more headaches for you guys. Shut down 1, and 10 others pop up doing it. I personally like to choose the road less traveled so I'll be searching and researching these forums. |

Searching is definitely the road less traveled
 Once you bring it to ebay's attention, they should prevent it from happening again if they shut him down. He might be able to sell some of the roms and apps, but WM 6.1 and Google Maps is a little beyond what I would be willing to try.
