CDMA Touch = Vogue
GSM Touch = Elf/Elfin
Just for further reference for the small population who don't know the difference. The phone being discussed is the CDMA Touch/Vogue, which currently does not have WiFi enabled and/or hardware present.

Just FYI - Sprint's Touch has to be CDMA-manufactured to be able to utilize Sprint's CDMA data network. Often unreliable Wikipedia has more accurate info than your source (your brain) on this. GSM is the lesser option, btw. Sucks for you (got off the elevator too soon as well, I'm guessing).

Be well

Re: Touch Consolidated Answers..GPS, WiFi, etc

and i thought the gsm version had wifi built in..
im soo confused on all this, its rediculous.

i know the touch is rev a, and gps capable.. but wifi.. its another story with the CDMA version. Ive heard and read around the gsm version DOES have wifi working.

wifi to me proved to be nothing more than a battery hog.. once rev a comes around wifi wont even be needed for me

Re: Touch Consolidated Answers..GPS, WiFi, etc

My constant use of WMWiFiRouter is the main thing keeping me on my Mogul (GPS/RevA is good too, but that should be coming for the Touch).

Otherwise, I would agree, WiFi is unnecessary for data access from the phone itself. Kinda nice when you are out of your service area though. VOIP calls over Skype from Italy was cool : )

I was never coached step by step or in a tutorial i learned from reading. We were all noobs at one point and ive NEVER seen a long step by step drawn out tutorial for anything or any phone. Even the vets have lives outside this little space we call "modding" and dont have that time to sit and write pages on steps down for your benefit because the new people simply dont want to learn on their own and read up first. We ALL do the same thing, filter through pages and pages of crap to get a few good snippets of info, thats life.
True enough, but does anybody remember the walkthrough that was in the Apache kitchen? Now there was some amazing documentation with a simple step by step approach. TalynOne and a few others take the time to do some really nice write ups too.

Edit: Sorry, I just realized how off topic that was, and how that was the very thing the OP was trying to avoid. My bad. Just wanted to give some recognition to those out there that do take the time. We were all noobs once. Not saying everything has to be spoon fed, but a link here and there can be more helpful than "use the search." My $.02
