Can't sync touch to Vista... ideas?

Just like the title says, I cannot sync the touch with my computer. I'm running Vista and the phone is not recognizing the computer and vise versa. What should I do?

how are you syncing? bluetooth? usb?
if bluetooth.. have your paired you phone and computer?
make your HTC visible, and your computer visible as well.

what happens when you enable both bluetooths.. then on HTC goto active sync, once that is open, under menu choose connect via bluetooth...
what do you see next? authenicating? opening port?

tell us what is happening... how far your able to get...
try with USB cable...

open mobile device center, under control panel...
make sure all our checked under connection settings: allow usb connection, allow connections through one of the following:bluetooth, allow auto device authentication, etc...

I'm using USB. The ppc is charging and I even hear the sound when I connect the USB, but Windows Mobile Device Center does not open automatically like it should and when I open activesync on the phone, the Sync button on the bottom left is not lit up. WMDC also says not connected.

Thanks Jay.

I downloaded 3.5 and rebooted my computer, plugged in my touch and... nothing.
I'm at a loss.
