All of you that are so passionate about this should definitely head over to XDA and pledge your financial support to this cause. No doubt that XDA will solve the problem given time. The more the prize the more the incentive, and the larger the number of devs taking a whack at it.

Not buying HTC is a good way to show them that you do not accept this. The power of free market lies in exactly that. If you are unhappy with a product dont use it.
I only really see HTC getting more popular especially with them looking like the main Android hardware maker so its going to be tough to avoid HTC. I must say I am glad this isnt as big an issue for me as I go back to playing with my Mogul and its newly activated Rev A data and GPS. Now if I can just get a mogul with a good screen! |

Just looking at the story about htcclassaction.org on the Inq and they mentioned the possibility of HTC not licencing the the ATI stuff from ATI? That could explain alot. That could be quite a chunck of change for HTC to pay for a group of users that it already has its revenue from and probably would not be able to get any more revenue out of. That would make the whole "We'll add it to future products" line all the more pertinent. Its interested to see how this turns out. Maybe HTC will decide that the good will they could generate with a driver would be worth the millions it would have to pay to ATI.
