This same practice has long been done in every other industry.

And for those of you using the car/engine example, would it be fair to say that when you buy a cheap chevy sedan it should perform on par with a vette just because they may use the same block?

And how do you justify the premium of a Rolex?
Dont remember the last time that a "cheap chevy sedan had a vette block.

Poor analogy. Would you be pissed if you bought a vette and found it to be slower that a 4 year old vette.

How do i justify a rolex. Easy. its not a piece of shit.

BTW this thread is for people who are disappointed in HTC's ability to be a class leading phone manufacturer. Whether or not we are right, we have the the right to feel the way we want to. Do you guy think you are going to convince us other wise.

I guess if HTC does put out an up grade well let them know not to make one for your phone since you dont care

theyve flat out said there will not be upgrades to these devices. move the f**k on. theres no reason to have one, not to mention several, thread about a potential feature of the phone. the chipset also has the ability to do gsm, are we going to start complaining that this isnt a dual mode phone?

Im sure if this escalated to the point of affecting business that HTC would change their mind. Quit wasting your time and let us do our thing.

We are on these forums cuz we buy top of the line phones. I dont know of forums that center on the "free after rebate" basic phone. So when i get the most expensive phone sprint offers i expect there to be a reason for the price tag. Trust me Touch flow is a card trick and is not a good reason for $550.

See that car in by my name. I built it. I like to ride in style and get their fast. Now i would have had a problem if the motor that i bought from chevy was slower than my civic. If i am getting 8mpg i wanna alot of horse power. Same with my phone. If my battery life aint the best there better be a satisfying reason for that too.

Here lies the problem. this like any other topic or debate in the world ends up with 4 or 5 different types of participants. extreamists: griefers on one side trying to get a rise out of people and angry lynchmob type people on the other. these two groups tend to be the smallest but most vocal and end up effecting the other two groups who may be very close to each other on the particular subject or if not are able to conduct civilized and productive conversation and debate.

I hope some of you are as passionate about things that actually matter to mankind as you are about this.
