Is the wrong keyboard being defaulted to in goodlink or does it prevent from accessing the 20 key keyboard at all?
You can probably disable any keyboard as I described in the thread I think your refering to. If it's disabled it can't get defaulted too. By searching for IsSIPInputMethod in the registry (there is like 6) and setting it's value to 0 and it's inprocserver32 value to a bogus dll (appending an _) check which keyboard your on by looking at the parent key which called a guid {xxxxxxxxxxx} it holds the text that shows up in the popup menu.

Thanks for the reply, and I've done some further research. Unfortunately, the QWERTY mode is not a separate SIP. There are 2 SIP's from Touch; the 20 key and 12 key. Both of these will dynamically switch to the QWERTY/password keyboard if it thinks you're on a password field. Which seems to include all fields in Good's app's and Opera Mobile. The sip file is ezsip.dll. Even this keyboard wouldn't be all bad if it weren't for the fact that it doesn't show any XT9 options or word corrections. I'm now trying out other keyboards: Pocket CM isn't bad but the dictionary that it comes with is utterly useless and Spb Full screen keyboard is an interesting concept but not really useful for quick inputs and jumping between fields. The 20 key touch is a great general purpose solution, too bad. Maybe I'll get frustrated enough yet to decode all of the Reg settings under HKLM/Software/Tegic and HKLM/Software/HTC/ezsip.

Is there a way through regedit to just make it so that it always just goes to the 20 Key? I can't use the 40 key - if it gets to where I have to punch in letters like that I just use the basic windows mobile keyboard and my stylus.

I prefer using the Full Screen Keyboard from SPB, but it will not stay as the default, that 20 thing keeps showing up..........how do make the Full Screen keyboard stick?

I've found the TouchPal from Cootek works pretty well as a replacement. the interface isn't as clean and it takes some practice to get used to the sliding method vs the double tap. But overall its more featured and provides the finger friendly 20 key design.

SPB FullScreen is different then usual default. FullScreen Kb places a little square button on whatever keyboard you choose in the spb kb options. It is not going to pop up by hitting the soft keyboard button. I would map spb keyboard to a hardware key.

no, he needs to change his default SIP with SIP change, as has already been mentioned.
Also, I don't recommend mapping it to a hardware key. Some applications (Opera for example) will not accept input from FSK unless you open it via the button on the mini keyboard it gives you. |

Hmm I did not need to use SIP Change. Mine I changed the setting in SPB Full Screen to use the Touch Keyboard and the little keyboard in the corner showed up right away. And I also use input by calling SPB Kb with a hardware key in all programs, including Opera. You just have to make sure you have clicked your cursor in the text box before calling SPB Keyboard.
