I'll give it a try.

Where is this setting located? The setting I find in Clocks and Alarms is "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs", but I don't think that's what you're talking about...

You need to have the Home Customizer installed to change the setting. Once you have that installed, run it and go to the options tab. Uncheck the "Show Titlebar Clock" option, save changes, and see if that clears up the problem.

Dear Boe,

it was confirmed as a bug. We'll try to fix it in the upcoming versions of Pocket Plus.

So far so good. I liked the time in the title bar and luckily the customizer only removes it from the Today title bar and it remains in all other title bars. I just put the date on the Today screen and now everything is working great. Haven't seen the phone app popping up yet.

Thanks that fixed my problem.

Anyone know of another way to display the time in the top tray bar?

I did read your post. I had to uncheck the show title bar clock to have the phone pop-up problem disappear just like you. But unlike you the time is not in my title bar on ANY screen im in. So I was wondering if anyone had a program where i could view the time in the title bar all the time, or atleast all the time except the today screen.

Go to Settings>System>Clock & Alarms. On the More tab you'll find the "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs" checkbox.

For the record, I have Pocket Plus 4 and was having the phone app popping-up up problem until I changed the title bar clock option in HTC Home Customizer. I no longer have this problem even though I still have PP 4 installed.

When installed, PP 4 by default displays a battery icon *in* the title bar (replacing the default WM battery icon). I immediately changed this to the battery bar that spans the top of the screen, and I believe at that point the title bar clock was turned on for me (I did not enable it with the HTC Home Customizer). SPB must change some registry entry that can also be altered with HHC - that's why changing it back to not display the clock fixes the issue for everyone who got the title bar clock either by installing PP or using the HHC.
