Don't soft reset. It's not needed because it's an .exe file. Just click it to start or stop.

Think I found a fix:

This seems to be happening anytime hklm\software\microsoft\shell\ShowTitleBarClock is changed to 1. However, as I don't want that pesky battery meter on my screen, I couldn't leave it set to 0.

So I changed ShowTitleBarClock to 2, and woah and behold, everything works!

With ShowTitleBarClock=2 and TBOpt=3, I now have date/time on top in all my apps including the Today screen, and the phone app stopped popping up!

That's a good find. I'm keeping mine as-is because I'm liking having the full date and time on my today screen now because it offers quick access to the alarm settings.

Confirmed - this fixed it for me (and I'm still running PocketPlus 4.0)...
