Hello,
Everyone that has this problem needs to take it into the Sprint store .
I just bought 2 HTC Touch phones 2 weeks ago. I LOVE MINE, its AMAZING
EVERYTHING WORKS . my wife on the other hand kept telling me about her phone not waking up when calls are incoming. we tried to soft reset and hard reset and everything else and nothing worked. TODAY, she walked into the Sprint Store , after they looked at the phone and recognized the problem they gave her a Brand new one iin the sealed box and so far so GOOOOD ) IT WORKS FINE.
YOUR PHONE IS DEFECTIVE.
Good Luck !

Just a shot in the dark here, but on another forum I read that people were experiencing the "not waking up" issue
Quote:
if you have custom ringtones stored on your SD card you may miss calls if the unit does into standby. I guess the unit powers down the SD card slot so it takes some time or can't find the ringtone
I can't find the original post but I remember them saying it was not just an issue with the Touch.

My Touch is doing the same thing... I've missed a few calls, and most were missed at 100% battery life! The only thing I have noticed is, it seems to happen after I've used my bluetooth and then turn off my headset. I just soft reset after I've shut off my bluetooth and it SEEMS to stop happening.

All I know for sure is: It happens, and it has nothing to do with battery life!

Not that it is an official solution for these issues, but has anyone considered or tried using PhoneAlarm?

It integrates with the notification system and in fact, basically takes over. I've had some better luck with "waking up" for alerts, reminders, emails, and SMS with it. Heck, it doesn't seem as if if PA could actually make this any worse either...

Maybe someone here should give it a shot and report if it at least ameliorates these problems. (yeah it stinks to have to do that, but as a workaround it might be worth it).

I had it installed, but I've removed it and am still having this problem. I just got off the phone with my local sprint store and they've agreed to swap it out. I really hope it works...

I think HTC needs to rethink that lie. It happened to me today and my phone was at 100% on the charger on my desk at work. I woke it up and had 4 missed calls and 6 text messages.

For me, it is the exact same thing that occured with the Mogul. My Touch is stock so associating a 3P is not the culprit. I think we need to look at the built in stuff on the device because some of us are still running clean with the issue of the Touch not waking up- no matter if its at 30% or fully charged.

I don't think this is a phone issue, but is rather a network issue.
