Touch vs Mogul BATTERY LIFE

How is the battery life on HTC Touch ? Better or worse than the HTC Mogul?

I've heard in the past the reason the keep the ram low is because it uses more battery life.

What's the consensus?

Not even close, the Touch has some amazing battery life. The Mogul had horrible battery life.

Not to be skeptical or to disagree with you- but I'm just curious.. how can that be possible?? Same processor, more ram, same OS, same everything minus keyboard.

On top of that the Mogul has 1350 Mah battery whereas the Touch has 1150.

If it's true that's one more advantage to the Touch

I think it depends.. the mogul w/ 2.19 rom and 1.4 radio (AND with bluetooth off) had amazing radio life..

But the touch normal has much better battery life then the mogul w/ the shipping rom...

That's what I was afraid of... I wish we could be side by side comparison running same ROM radio etc... as it is now the Mogul has a crippled Software set that is probably draining the battery quicker. Blah

Not even close! Touch by a wide margin.

I'm currently carrying both, and have compared each at the end of a 12-14 hour day.

My Touch with stock battery gets more use than my Mogul with 1650 battery, and has 10-20% more battery at end of day.

Today is a great data point - neither has been used yet, both have been off the charger for 4 hours. Touch has 100%. Mogul has 80%. BT off on both.

For the 3 people who voted for the Mogul - please provide details. I don't see any posts with examples of why the Mogul is better.

the mogul stock was 1500MaH and the touch is 1100MaH

My Mogul goes up to 2 1/2 days w/o charging w/ normal use cant complain, plus I have 4 batteries thx to my 4 replacements. =)

So basically software is draining the Mogul's battery...

what other explanation can there be for it?
