The reception on the touch has some issues. Comming from motorola phones and making a tough decision to switch knowing that motorola has superb call quality and powerful rf, I really miss it.

The biggest ISSUE is if I want to clench the phone between my ear and shoulder the other party will not be able to hear me, and possibly the call will drop. This is clearly a flaw in HTC build QUALITY/ANTENNA/RF in the touch.

Also in my appartment in san diego I see that the phone will go in and out of roaming and evdo sprint. I know that motorola is top dog when it comes to rf quality, and i wish htc could match their specs.

Screen scratches hella easy. I have a hair line scrath about 1 inch in length vertically reaching to the top of the screen. Usually, my Touch stays in its OEM pouch or in a front pocket dedicated to the device. I take great care of it and found it to scratch very easy so far. I can not believe it.

Slippery slope.

That's what screen protectors are for. Not using one on a plastic screen is just foolish.

Re: Sprint HTC Touch - Bugs, complaints, etc.

Bought this phone back in December and everything was working fine until couple of weeks ago the Call (green) button, the Red (End) button, the soft reset key, the side button (assigned to the camera) and even the power button (when I try to turn on the device and not to wake the device from sleep mode) are not working. This is frustrating and sprint won't touch it if you don't have the insurance even if it has a year warranty. Anyone can help me with this? I have hard reset the damn thing like 5 times already. the only software that I use is PIMBackup to restore my contacts.

thanks

Well after having the Mini SD in my old PPC6700 popping out and flying God-knows-where, I don't mind the bit of difficulty accessing the Micro SD in the touch. It's tucked away, protected from the elements and guaranteed not to pop out without you knowing about it.

Re: Sprint HTC Touch - Bugs, complaints, etc.

Is there a way to assign a ringtone to incoming sms messages? I poked around the sounds and notifications settings and can't seem to find the option to.
