So you're having lock-ups with a clean Touch and no installed applications? Have you tried taking/leaving the sd card out entirely?

If that's what I think it is, it is Weatherpanel's fault. Go to Program Files\Marsware\Weatherpanel\Themes\Default and search for both .TFF (font files) and delete them. That should fix the blocky text issue.

It's been a long known issue with WP

Thanks dude, that fixed it.

Also it WAS the quick menu I found causing some issues too, not the close button. I didn't know what that feature was called. The whole phone seems more stable since I shutoff the Quick Menu (I don't think it's just cosmetic).

I may turn back on some other HTC features and see if it remains stable.

I've gone almost 3 days with lots of fiddling and hard use, not a even a minor glitch. That's a record. Even the 6700 would glitch under hard use. Hard use is simultanious BT devices running while heavy memory apps and connected to the net etc. Even the iPhone would screw up more.

Now if we could just find a freaken browser that really works it would be heaven. I've tried Opera Mobil, Picsel and NetFront. All have some issues.

phone not coming back from sleep also

So mine has started this today and already done it 3 times.

It seems to have started after I went into the bluetooth application in Programs for the first time though I didnt turn it on or anything.

Also, everytime its done it has been while I was on the phone. I'm on right now and my phone is in sleep so I cant change volume or anything.

ok here we go,its 12:41 am tuesday, happened to me 3 times yesterday.i turned the stand by mode off,i cant afford to miss any calls.i know the battery wont last as long, but whats the difference, all we do is charge these phones any ways.i have been making calls and text messaging and checked some email, since 4 pm mon,my battery was at 70% now its at 30%,not so bad.after playing with this phone before i new it had a problem i was charging all the time, just from being on the web or running apps. i work with 3 other people,we all got the same phone within 2 days apart, they are all having the same problem with the stand by mode.sorry if my posts are messed up,this is the first time i have posted on a board before.i called 2 sprint stores here in ft lauderdale fl,spoke to 2 different techs, one said he had one other call of the same problem.you know what that means?they have no clue!

Where are you seeing the Quick Menu? Are you talking about the Large start menu?

Never mind, I found it... it's in the X-button settings.

The standby issues seem to plague all WM6 devices.

People with the Tilt are complaining about the same thing and I had the problem on my Mogul until I flashed Alltel's WM5 on it.

My 6700 did it too with helmi's WM6 though not as much as the Mogul.

This not a bug, but more of a complaint/pet peeve. I send lots of text messages in Spanish and of course the XT9 function is worthless for this, so I use the regular ABC input.

The issue is that when you type small words (2-letter words for example) and then click the space bar the word will get deleted because the keyboard still has it highlighted waiting for further input. The keyboard is basically too slow for the typing speed. I personally feel that should not happen at all, the space bar should act only as a space bar, not delete highlighted text.

I can't wait for Touchpal to release its next version with multi-language support!!!
