I am sorry.. I don't want it merged with my original thread.. I just saw the bug thread and since I think this is a bug/complaint I wanted to bring it up with people who may have not seen my thread... I am trying desperately to find a solution.....

I just had a funny 'bug' I guess. I launched the cube and opened SprintTV, then I closed SprintTV and of course the cube was still there.

When I swiped my finger down the screen the cube ran the animation is if it were closing but then it popped right back up.

I had to soft reset to fix it and now it works normally. It was probably a dumb glitch, after all, computer do tend to act up every now and then.

Note: I can't delete the D+ folder - it's some sort of corruption...
I think if you would have softreset, your memory card would have gone back to normal. Ive had that happen several times, and once I notice it I immediately reset and all is fine

ugg, my Alarms this mornig are going off 3 times. I did have problems last night with S2U2 and had to remove it and many soft resets due to it. I will remove the battery for a few minute to clear it out.

Removing the battery didn't clear this up. I'll try removing it for a longer time.

Question Some of the bugs/problems I have, is it a defective one?

I got the Touch as the replacement for the Mogul the other day. After exploring a lot of threads here, and based on my 2 day use, I have some problems/defects maybe and need your advice.

Physical defects:

I've seen people compalaining about the loose battery cover and volume controller. My battery cover seems to hold up pretty good, as for the volume controller I don't really how tight it should be. There're some move on the controller and I can push it up and down slightly without affecting the volume level. Does anyone of you have a controller that is tighly fit in?

The washed out screen is also on my device. The viewing angle is really bad compared to what Mogul has. I've done the side by side comparison and the difference is very obvious. Some of you are complaining, others not. I want to know if that's normal.

The stylus is loosely fit in unlike in Mogul. I can twist the head easily, but the whole thing is tighly plugged in the place. I won't worry about it falling out.

Software problem:

1. My phone application pops out frequently. When I open some software from storage card, the dial pad comes with it. Now after I edited the registry to add the "disconnect" button for EVDO, the phone app pops out everytime the device restarts.

2. I haven't done much reg tweak yet, but the only one that I did, adding the "disconnect" button seems to fail. The button was added and functional OK, but now after I restart the device the green windows mobile welcome screen has a huge black block in the middle of the screen. All the charactes are blocked by it. The system seems to be stable as it was though. So softreset or not waking up issue.

3. The on screen keyboard will block the lower half of the screen which kinda sucks when you have to edit something in the lower half. For instance the password input when you set up the email accounts. I installed touchpal this morning, but it also blocked half of the screen. Does anyone find a solution?

4. Sprint TV started to work after installing the upgrade patch. But on Mogul I have the access to all channels after the upgrade patch, here I only get those free channels. Is there a hack or something? I just don't understand why I can access all channels on Mogul with the same application and upgrade patch.

Could you guys take a look at those problems please? If there's a solution to the problem or you think I got a defective one, please comment.

Thanks very much.

Believe me - I soft reset many times

I tried Pocket Mechanic, and it could fix everything except 1 "broken chain". I ended up having to re-format the card, and now it's OK.

I think the loose battery cover is your unit - mine is actually hard to get off.

I think the screen viewing angle is because of the screen they used in this unit.

My stylus is still tight but I just got mine - on the mogul it was fine but on the 6700 I had to put a small amount of tape around the top to keep it snug.

I get the phone pop up as well - I was told that is because of SPB software I installed.

I still can't get TV to work on mine - installed 1005, copied the cache file - still no luck so you are ahead of me on that - worked fine on my mogul though.

The Phone app popping up is definitely because of SPB. I didn't have that problem at all until I installed the SPB apps.
