I just installed NFSFANS's ROM and I'm kind of curious as to if I should load this one and how to go about it?

Sorry for the confusion... i meant i was using gps and wifi features on my laptop when im out of town... (this is how i used to operate before getting the Touch)

I just hope the microsd wifi will be available here soon to complete the TOUCH.

Does this rom also have the problem of searching for old satellites or does it resolve this issue?

Yeah ... I load 1.13 of NFSFAN yesturday, (good ROM but unit needs to be soft reset daily to get GPS lock)

My question is since we had to unlock the device to put on NFSFAN ROM is it still ok to flash the new OEM ROM?

Can anyone who has flashed this rom inform us a little, does it matter if the phone is unlocked and does it lock the phone afterwards.

I think I seen someone here who waited for the Bell official rom, if you flashed this rom on top of a stock rom what is the SPL afterwards .40 or 2.xx.

So are we safe to just go ahead and flash this rom and does this rom solve the problem of possibly messing up the phone when we revert back to stock spl .40 for returns?

Just a quick update for you... I just flashed the new official ROM on my UNLOCKED Touch (I was using OMJ's ROM) and the upgrade completed without any problem..

So, afaik you dont need to re-lock the phone before installing this official ROM. For other enhancements, too early to know..
