UPDATED 10-21-08 Manilla 2D Alltel 6.1 - Page 27

I am not sure when it is going to be, I have been trying to work in a few days of overtime, so that way i can save up money and get a new phone. I was able to order a sprint diamond yesterday. So i will have that over to alltel, and now maybe I can save up and get the pro has well.

Then I will have the 6700, 6800 (coming soon), touch, diamond, touch pro. lol, I really do spend to much money on phones.

But back on topic, I am taking tomorrow off, I will spend the day working on the rom, For now it will be based off the new alltel rom, with the SMS/MMS together, it will have a few issues worked out of it. But has of new features or anything like that, it shouldnt be to major.

I have not dealt with audio booster, mainly because it will only work with a headset, and even then only certain headsets. So i just saw no need to play with it, if i am not sure how it will affect the other people. I think i also read somewhere that any audio booster will not work on the touch, something about different drivers.

I wanted to update my comment about alltel nav. I said I wasnt impressed with it at all but the more I play with it the better I like it. Im still on the 30 day trial so I havent checked into how much it is. Dont know if its a monthly bill or a one time thing. I also tried google nav. its 60 bucks with a short trial but the trial is very limited. I think I would prefer Alltel's. I like the voiced turn by turn dirictions. I wanted to try garmin but no trial and its 100 bucks. I have absolutly no problem with purchasing good software but im not gonna spend that kinda money without being able to try it out first. Con whats the best clean-up utility in your opinion? (free and paid). I tried memmaid and it was nice but pretty pricey. or do you even use one since im sure you are constantly flashing?

How do you get the diamond to work on alltel?? I would totally go that route if it is a for sure working process.

I am always flashing so i dont use a clean up utility. i am always flashing so i dont have time.

right now you will not be able to go to alltel, until the official rom gets dumped from an alltel diamond and then loaded up, but i figure if i can at least get it, and then play with it, and start programming for it.

when you do the update will there be anyway to put the messaging from this rom onto it? I really like the messaging on your 10-3 ROM and for the short time I tried the official ROM I really didnt like it.

can you guys help me with a problem, here whats up....
i have 2 touch's right...... my new ones gets evdo no problem..... but the old one, it will only get evdo when set to home only..... but when on home only, it only gets a signal like once a day from whwtever tower that it tries to connect to on home only...... its wierd..... i change the esn on my alltel account from the working evdo touch to the other one..... and after it dials #777, it switches to 1x..... thats with several different custom roms tried including almost all of con's, alltels newest official rom...... still wont get evdo..... anyways, heres the phone details in device info:

Rom version: 3.10.671.1
ROM date: 9/22/08
Radio version: 3.42.30
protocol version: DCAAXAM-4350H
Hardware version: 0001
PRL version: 30033 (alltels latest for the touch, same one working evdo touch has)
PRI Version: 2.02_011

just so you know, it currently has alltels official 6.1 rom

forgot to say, when my rome icon is flashing on and off is when it will not get evdo..... if its flashing, no evdo, and if its not there at all, gets evdo....... but thats very rarely that it gets the signal from that home tower....

Iv seen the standard and home only setting but never knew what they were for. mines always set to standard. anyone know exactly what it does?

My beta located a few pages back, it will let you set a lot more settings in, Phone-Settings-Services. one of them is to lock on to evdo or 1x. you can try that for now. Also you might want to try a *228 and option 3. this will stop your roaming to flash on and off.

Give it a shot and let me know. I am working now on a new release. I am gonna shoot for later today, at first it will be like the following.

HTC home, (first release, with manilla builds to come tomw or monday)
Old Messaging, so SMS and MMS in seperate folders.
Based of Alltel ROM
small changes

Manilla will be out sunday or monday.

I am shooting for this one with HTC home today though.
