Id be careful about trying to change to landscape mode, Iv had to hard restart twice because of that, it totally screws up my camera

alright, i noticed something with the gps on the touch.... when using alltels official rom or any of con's custom roms, the gps takes like 5 - 10 mins to fix with google maps, live maps, or anything besides alltel nav...... but when using altlel nav, either on custom rom or on alltels rom, i get fix in like 10 seconds....... does anyone know why that is? and also, the gps works grweat when i run alltel nav in the background and use google maps or something with alltel nav running...... but google maps or anything without alltel nav.... its works terribly..... just wondering why that is

I second that. Sitting in my house where I don't normally get a lock at all, I have 6 strong sat signals with telenav running. Google locks right on to my position. What is the difference???

i have tried shadow techs agps thing........ and alltel nav still works better to get a fix and to keep it....

i have 2 htc touch phones...... and i can say the one without service gets just as quick as a lock as the one with service and the agps hack when not using alltel nav........ theres something with alltel nav that makes it fix much quicker and keep the fix...... cuz i notice, as soon as i exit alltel nav, i will actually lose my fix in google maps...... wierd....
thats why i was asking for the alltel nav cab file, so i could have it with con's rom..... i have also tried telenav's gps thats not carrier branded, i forget what its called.... and the one thats not carrier branded does not work like alltel nav.... it takes just as long to fix as google maps by itself does.....
i think the non carrier branded one is called GPSNav....
i have also tried sprint nav...... i have alltel .... and it got a quick "so called" fix.... but was innacurate by up to a mile or so......

The reason is that Alltel Nav is able to use Assisted AGPS, it is built into the software of the program, that is what allows you to get faster gps fix with everything.

Hey Con, got a ETA on the next update?
Also have you tried installing HTC audio booster? it locks up my manilla music screen. but theres an option for it on the softkey? I was just wondering if you had had this problen before.
