Re: Vogue 20270 GPS kitchen

I have been using this kitchen (and the ones before it) for a while and really appreciate the hard work that has been put into making this available to us. That being said, I have noticed that the ringer volume on the kitchen made roms is noticably quieter than the ringer volume on some of the other roms ( like DHarvey's for instance). What i wanted to know was is there a registry setting that can increase the volume or is this all my imagination?

Also, my gps is and rev a is fine, but i was wondering should i run ppst on the roms made from this kitchen or should i go as is, because it was reported on other roms that ppst may mess up internet or gps.

Re: Vogue 20270 GPS kitchen

When I first told my wife I was building custom ROMs for my phone she was kinda impressed.

When the process involved playing sound clips from the Muppet Show, she withdrew her statement.

Personally, I'd like some Pigs In Space clips.

The only way to eliminate the sounds is to replace them with dead air clips. I'll make a mute option eventually.

lol. I just got my friend to start using the kitchen on his new touch and he also commented on the clips. Though I loved them the first 20 times, I agree it might be time for a mute option or just a generic finished sound clip.

Re: Vogue 20270 GPS kitchen

Remember folks, it has to be cooking related or it totally misses the boat. You are cooking roms in a Kitchen, thus the tie-in with the Sweedish Chef and the muppets!

bork, Bork, BORK !

Best regards,

fyi ... copy silent.wav from your phone to each and every wave filename in the PPCKitchen and/or BuildOS directory:

Code:
Cooking-Finish.wav
Cooking-start.wav
Cooking.wav
Error-ChefBoingBoing.wav
Error-Uh-Oh.wav
Error-WhatHappened.wav
Login-WelcomeBack.wav
Login-Wierdo.wav

Well, having used NFSMan's rom I do find the video to be much snapper. However I like the software options in the kitchen much better than having to use someone's pre-canned ROM.

If somehow the ATI drivers could be added to the kitchen it would be the best of both worlds.

Re: Vogue 20270 GPS kitchen

You could also just use the mute button.

I tried just deleting the sound files but then it throws errors, I might just replace them all with 1s blips of dead air.
turn off your speaker

Um, perhaps you should look before you assume.

1. This driver has been around for a long, long time.

2. It has never been shown do impove anything.

3. How do you measure snappiness?

4. Finally, check this reg :[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\D3DM\Drivers]

I threw that in a while ago just for people like you who want to compare without even looking. However, if it was posted that the driver was in there, I am sure your perception of performance would be different.
