Um, perhaps you should look before you assume.

1. This driver has been around for a long, long time.

2. It has never been shown do impove anything.

3. How do you measure snappiness?

4. Finally, check this reg :[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\D3DM\Drivers]

I threw that in a while ago just for people like you who want to compare without even looking. However, if it was posted that the driver was in there, I am sure your perception of performance would be different.
