Now, the problem is that this is getting set by a special provxml in all carriers on all builds. I will have to see why it is not working for Bell.

Tell me this, in PIE in the favorites, are there links for PPCkitchen and NFL sites?
Yes, there are links to ppckitchen and nfl mobile in PIE.

That would be a good idea. I guess there aren't as many bell users here as sprint so we're slowly finding out the kinks.

Bugger... Oh well, thanks for trying... I was hoping to cook a ROM I could forward to friends so they didn't have to do any tinkering; guess not.

Cheers, Tim

Um, plenty of people are doing just fine with what you call a "horrible build". Perhaps instead of *****ing, you actually were productive and described the problems you are having. Or perhaps you should just stick to easier stuff.

Thanks, this is very strange. I asked because the same file that sets those links should set the policies reg to what I have and not what you are seeing. I will have to look at this a bit more.

Re: Vogue 20270 GPS kitchen

I previously was able to use Skype with wm6.1 on the vogue, with the pre-sprint-based kitchen. Has anyone had any luck with Skype with the newer kitchens? There's a new version of skype mobile out there (v.2.2.0.45, attached) that is being reported on xda and here as working with wm6.1.

Re: Vogue 20270 GPS kitchen

The 1017 fix worked for me also (on Bell), thanks.

I have done more testing with GPS and can report that there is definitely something weird going on. GPS works the same ... I get locks ok (sometimes takes a few minutes), but Google Maps will never do the aGPS thing anymore, so if I'm somewhere where it is not possible to get a GPS lock, such as in the middle of my house, it will never give me an approximate location. With previous roms I could always get an aGPS approximation of my location with Google Maps. I checked the registry and the GPS mode settings all appear to be correct. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Red face Re: Vogue 20270 GPS kitchen

Does anyone else notice that under the volume icon there is a section of the menu bar missing sometimes. You have to rotate the screen so you are using it in landscape mode. It runs right under the volume icon and clock. You can see what ever is behind the screen you are on (ie. the today screen). This has never happened in the portrait view only in landscape. It happens in every build for my Vogue and Mogul both.

See screenshots. This seems to happen alot for me in this build (Vogue and Mogul). Nothing big but thought I would point it out.......

Thanks for a great new kitchen..... Best yet for me....

Actually, now that you mention it, I feel that the GPS isn't as good as it was before. I haven't looked into it much since for me GPS is more of a toy. I know where I'm going around here in Vancouver so it's not so much of a problem but it does seem to take forever to get a lock compared to before. I'm on Bell as well.

I'm having the same problem. Google Maps no longer gives me an agps position like it did before. It's a bummer because the rest of the kitchen is awesome.
