i cant get past the found new hardware it just says Please wait while the wizard searches and there's a yellow question mark and beside it it says Generic Serial

Ok, So I've tried the fresh flash of The Telus ROM, followed by *22803 #1 & 2. QPST to the settings Ghetto left. Reg edited smartgps enable to "1".

And I've got nothing. It occasionally spaz's on Holux GPSView and think's it has 8 sat's. then a second later nothing.

Did I miss a step?

ok QPST is working, but I'm 99% sure it's still broken as heck.

AGPS is definately not working, it has me in the ocean off nigeria. usually I get a vague lock of some sort, then gps kicks in and locks me down.

I followed these steps and also ghettofreeryders steps too.

how do you get a HEX esn my phone only shows the DEC ESN?

if you open QPST Service Programming it shows your hex ESN at the top.
or in the PPST58.log file

i couldnt find that file but i got the ESN now
and i did all the steps but GPS still doesnt work..
after you fill in all those things do you write to phone?and when you exit do you save?

Look up 3 posts, it has step by step with pictures..just use ghetto's info.

In QPST be sure you read phone, edit data then write phone, you could prolly mess things bad with no read. Here's all I did...

1. Flashed telus's new rom
2. *22803 opt 1,1 to cure data prob
3. did the QPST/reg fix as per ghetto(who rocks btw)
4. installed gps apps

All good here, not as flawless as previous radio but liveable, be sure you are in an area that gets good gps recep to test, i usually test on my balcony then move inside, nuthins worse than wasting hella tim cuz the sats are in the wrong part of the cosmos.

I've also found the goodies to hack the weather app, fix the fourth side of cube(ditched nav for google and pocket exp for sirius) and changed those apps on the HTC Telus home thingy, let me know if ne1 wants the goods on that stoof and i'll post

I'm still unable to get TT7 to lock without a primer, anyone get a cure for this?
