make sure you started dmrouter on your phone. for most it is ##3424# then in QPST configuration select add port and make sure the checkbox that says "show serial and usb/qc diagnostics ports only" is NOT checked.

Ok it found my phone, I was using COM4 and it needed COM5.

My new problem is it came up with a list of phones:

"The model selected is uknown.
Please select a base model from
the list of known phones models."

Then there is a list like: FFA3100-1900; CARD5500-1900; TSG-FFA600; pdQ-1900; QCP1900; Retriever-2760; QCT-1000; SURF 1000-1960; among about 100 more.

Which phone would I pick for my Alltel HTC Touch Pro?

I'm assuming that THIS is your handset. If it is, your handset has the Qualcomm MSM7501A RISC Chipset. I have the Qualcomm MSM7500 RISC Chipset on my Vogue and the "Surf 7500" option works for me.

Also, I noticed that your phone is the "HTC Raphael 800" there's also a 100 series but I'm not sure if that's what you have.. bottom line is you should be looking around the HTC Touch Pro forums.
