That doesn't matter, GMaps doesn't store maps in your phone's memory it dumps them (or at least everything other than the page you are on) when you exit.

I just remembered something: Google Maps was wroking before because unbeknownst to me, I had a network connection even though I had no data plan for the phone; I found this out because emails would arrive, and then my bill arrived, $1004! I got a credit and was instructed on how to disable the network. This is why Google doesn't work. It isn't the ROM. Sorry for all the pointless questions.

I you want to flash a new ROM, you have to unlock the phone; search for unlock HTC.

The first time I flashed, I used ##3424 + send and it sent the phone to DIAG mode; then I unlocked, and I did not re-lock. Now, to get to DIAG mode, I have to do ##3424#. dunno why.

Okay, you need to dial ##DIAG or ##3424, NOT ##3424#...
DMR should pop up.

The drivers for QPST can be found HERE, on post #3

I have the exact same phone as you, with Telus and the drivers worked fine for me.

Don't forget to run DMR (on the phone) BEFORE connecting to your computer or Activesync will startup and then it won't work.

You can also look HERE for a short tutorial with pretty pictures

Re: OFFICIAL Telus 6.1 ROM w/GPS and Rev. A - R 3.41.00, D 3.07

Hey guys, I want to install the Android port. I need to have radio 3.42.30 or greater. Obviously the official telus 6.1 update does not have this radio. I have already installed this update. How do I get the required radio. I am a complete gl00b with this sort of stuff. I have no experience with ROMS, is there a tangible way for me to get the required radio?

Re: OFFICIAL Telus 6.1 ROM w/GPS and Rev. A - R 3.41.00, D 3.07

I have the Alltel Touch Pro and I am not sure if this tweak for the GPS works on that phone or not, but I can't seem to get QPST to locate my phone. I installed the drivers and windows says it is installed correctly, but there are not phones listed under "active phones" it is greyed out and has "work offline" checked. I want to try this tweak to see if my gps will work afterwards but I am stuck.
