OFFICIAL Telus 6.1 ROM w/GPS and Rev. A - R 3.41.00, D 3.07

nothing, Leave it as is, the new rom is pretty much not that good in its stock form, but my rom is updated to the 3.07 base, all seems fine

Ya I did the update just to mess round. Nice thing is if Telus releases it then we get our warrenty back, you can always flash before shipping off though. Couple things i did like though, The GPS todayscreen plug, fourth cube side, the extra home screen launch bar and the task bar zoom in. These could prolly be ripped from the rom and added to your current setup though.

I agree it was a pig of a rom, No matter what I tryed I couldnt get GPS to work and aGPS didn't work either, using that radio and PRI from the telus rom I flashed back to my bell rom and it's working quite nicely now.

Although I would like to see this base in my current rom, there were a few updates to some of the basic software (like DMR)

The software download link is back on the Telus page although it goes no where. So perhaps they are getting ready to release it again. Hope they fixed the bugs in the LEAKED version. At least we will be able to get support for the ROM if it gets officially released.

ok i have this rom installed everything is fine but NO TCPMP can sum1 plz help? plus i heard telus will officially have this rom out later this week form a store clerk probably bs but worth a look....so bak to my question tcpmp does not work on 6.1?

OK, I'm content now. I've got everything working exactly the way I want it (I'm on Telus). Here's basically what I did:

1. Flashed SPL back to relock it using the original Touch unlocker
2. Installed the leaked Telus ROM
3. Used QPST and checked _all_ GPSOne features, and set IP address info exactly as GFR posted
4. Set the AGPS mode to 4 and enabled SmartGPS in the registry
5. One last soft reset

At this point things worked well and my satellite reception was astounding, but the radio would crap if I put it in sleep mode, so:
6. Copied virser_gps.dll into \Windows and reset

Now it recovers perfectly from Sleep mode, locks onto satellites extremely quickly, and generally works VERY well. I'm extremely satisfied!

If you're not a Telus user, you may want to try the option other than "IP" in QPST (escapes me what it's called right now) -- this might bypass AGPS and exclusively use satellite information...you can always set it back if it doesn't help. But as for me, I'm gold. Hope this helps at least the Telus users out there.

I think some of the issues people are having is due to mixing radio, SPL, and OS versions -- this is why I decided to go 100% stock.

Hi,

I just emailed Telus about this and here's what they said:

"Thank you for your e-mail regarding the WM6.1 update. We appreciate the opportunity to address your inquiry.

As per our Data & Network Team, please be advised that the WM6.1/revA update is currently not available for the HTC Touch unit. We regret the confusion that this may have caused.

TELUS is in the process of evaluating the possibility of offering this software upgrade in the future. We are however, unable to provide or guarantee an exact date for this availability.

..."

Does anyone know different?

This is for the P3050, right? "Vogue" is new to me, I hope I'm talking about the right device.

Is Telus in the US too, or are these all Canadians here?

Is step 1. because you'd already used a non-Telus ROM?
You can install this on a fully locked Telus phone?
