Re: LEAKED - Official Telus 6.1 ROM w/GPS and Rev. A - R 3.41.00, D 3.07
There is not a listing under the 'Software Download' section BUT IT IS FOR VMODEM - not a ROM upgrade - i don't even see a download button for VModem though - maybe an error? Maybe our ROM is coming?

Looks like the Wireless modem is active now under the touch @HTC, update may be close now.
Many thanks to all that made this happen before HTC an Telus officially do it. WR |

Since you don't have to unlock your phone to install this - just plug you phone in and run the update - would it actually void your warranty?
I guess the hacking you have to do after to get it to actually work might...? Has anyone in Canada tried this? Apparently we'll be behind the curve getting the update officially. |

IMHO it would or at least should not void your warranty considering that it was posted at HTC rather than a hacked or cooked ROM. I actually returned a Touch that I bricked with a non-Telus rom and was never charged.

Does this new Radio version from the Telus Leaked ROM actually make any difference compared to R.3.37.10 in regards to EVDO REV.A? Is there a better PRL version than 31398?

Re: LEAKED - Official Telus 6.1 ROM w/GPS and Rev. A - R 3.41.00, D 3.07
Hey guys been lurking for a while, I did this upgrade and it seem like telus nav works fine(terrible accuracy) however google maps won't function till telus nav has run. That at least was the case in the beginning. now it would seem that google maps does not work at all, one day, and a few restarts, later.
I have not put virser_gps.dll on the phone, but I dont think it will make a difference. Please advise. Thanks |
