Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

Alrighty, so it is safe for Telus users to update to the Sprint PRI. Just be prepared for some legwork.
1) Download, install and run the sprint ppst
2)Obtain your MSL
3)##786# and click menu>reset. Enter your MSL
4)*22803>option 2
5)*22803>option 1
6)flash your desired rom

Ok so Ive done steps 1 and 2 successfully ...

where do you do this ##786# - at the phone dialer?

If Im already on my desired ROM ... [OMJ for verison] do I still need to reflash? ]

Yes at the phone dialer.

Ok well now Im ROAMING ... shivencleister! No DATA Access to the net either ....

Is it star or # * or # cuz that does NADA on my rig ... at the phone dialer

**786 to verizon says - your feature upgrade could NOT be performed

##786 - call could not be completed as dialed

*228 Option 1 does a quick reset then says its upgrading
*228 Option 2 says its updating my Roaming Capabilities

Ive got this IOTA crap all over my phone and the above problems. Fun n Games ...

Does the phone work? Do you have a roaming indicator on?

If you answer yes to 1 then you need a new A-Key. Call VZW and tell them you are developing an app for the phone and you hard reset. They will supply you a new A-Key.

OK - so can I just go back to the OMJ rom I had before this "PPST.exe for the sprint" mis-step I just took. [No Internet and NO GPs and a bunch o' IOTA junk]

Im think of re-flashing OMJ's Full Custom for Verizon again

Wish GhettoFreeryder was here to answer a few minor issues. Like:

What does the ##786 do and what should I be seeing or hearing when its executed from the dialer ?

I have epst.epst / epst.exe / epst.lnk and a few other epst files apparently from the sprint I downloaded in a thread to try this trick out.

flash the sprint test rom, run ##786 the flash omj. sorry i need to make a definitive step list

Its not just flashing back. You have to call tech support to get the new A-Key.

So what is the ##786 actually doing .. Im just doing it because thats what I was told to do .. if its not too complicated to explain - Id love to know?

Also - in doing these steps - will this require me to again get a new AKey from Vzw?

No this is a bug in the 6800/6900. If they give you issues I would speak to a supervisor.
