Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!
I did the same thing as you MAT23 and I am getting the same results. I had originally flashed to the leaked rom when it first came out. I then cooked my own rom with the kitchen and that is what I have been using. Today I have not been able to get a lock at all, until I ran this cab, it updated my pri and now I have a lock on six sats.

Thanks for the confirmation matthew. That makes it easier on folks that are happy with their phone as is and don't want to go thru the trouble of re-setting up. -CC

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!
Well, its still early (and I have gotten excited before only to feel let down when the GPS didn't perform) but so far, so good. Thanks to Boggsie for posting that cab b/c I swear I had been trying to get my PRI to update and nothing worked until I ran that cab and went into the windows/ folder and tapped PPST....not sure what changed it (if just installing the cab did the trick) or if tapping PPST did it after I installed the cab...
One thing: after you tap PPST, you will lose radio reception. Then, I went into comm mananger, went into airplane mode and then turned the radio back on and I had radio again. You may need to soft reset to get radio again but mine was fine (no problems with roaming or anything else and my PRL was still 60612). |

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!
Maybe I'm misunderstanding matt's post, but I flashed the leaked rom, updated to pri 2.03, and then flashed jd's rom and my pri stayed at 2.03. I'm pretty sure that will only get overwritten if you run ppst or update the radio.

So maybe some people have had better luck flashing the leaked sprint ROM, I am not sure why mine did not initally update on its own.... |

Did you run the leaked sprint rom that included a radio update? "RUU_Vogue_4350_PPST_SpeciallNBH_SPRINT_WWE_3.02.6 51.2_Radio_435011_3.37.15_AM_NV_SPCS_1.33_0823_Tes t.exe" If so, did you let customizations run to completion? |

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!
Well, I can't say for sure what folks have or have not done and what PRI results from flashing A vs. flashing B, but I can say this for certain as I just confirmed the following, by going through the process, step-by-step ...
Flash the leaked sprint rom: "RUU_Vogue_4350_PPST_SpeciallNBH_SPRINT_WWE_3.02.6 51.2_Radio_435011_3.37.15_AM_NV_SPCS_1.33_0823_Tes t.exe" ... if you DO NOT run customizations RESULT: There is NO PPST.exe in your windows folder. ... if you DO run customizations RESULT: autorun.exe uses/executes commands in config_PT.txt Line 14: CAB: \Windows\PPST_080407_7500_SPCS_2.03.sa.CAB is installed Line 15: EXEC:\Windows\PPST.exe is executed Best regards, -boggsie EDIT: clockcycle reminds of an important point. when PPST.exe is executed, it prompts the user to approve the update to the radio. well, if it is being executed via autorun.exe, the user cannot respond to this prompt. at some point, autorun.exe will continue, but I DO NOT KNOW what happens to the execution of PPST.exe. This is why, as clockcycle suggests, it is a reasonably good idea (IF YOU ARE A SPRINT CUSTOMER) to manually execute PPST.exe and then ensure that your PRI.
