File 1 and 3 do not open anything. I did get 2 text messages that said there was a system change, and listed the files.

I'm on sprint, so theres no chance of a brick?

No.

Flash the Alltel ROM.

Soft reset on customizations (so they don't run).

Connect to ActiveSync

Go into Bootloader

Flash phone with jakdillard's ROM (check the Flashing How To if you need help.)

JD's ROM has the GPS files loaded and initialized already. It also has Rev. A. Works great on my Sprint Touch.

sounds great, once i get back up to my room i'll connect via active sync, power-camera-reset, and flash with the new rom.

why do i gotta flash twice? doesnt the second flash completley erase everthing the first one did?

the first flash updates your radio. That's what makes the GPS and RevA possible.

how does gps receive its signal? by internet or phon signal
