Sorry to laugh but that is extremely funny. I would advise not performing these types of operations at work. They can take upwords of an hour, more if something goes wrong.

There is a sticky at the top of the vogue upgrades forum

It means no solid object in the sky above your head, a building, roof, overhang etc. It should work with minimal interference. I am not sure the freq that GPS uses but I think it is rather high which means cloud and lightning could very well effect it.

Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

Did you test the internet from the Alltel Rom? Did it work? Did you soft reset to prevent the customizations from running? Are you currently connected to ActiveSync? If so did you set up a profile and check the allow data connections? No net while connected until you check that box.

Please report back for more assistance. Also pls specify what fixed it if one of these did.

Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

Thanks to everyone that's made this possible.

I have a Sprint Touch, and loaded the gpstest2.1 ROM successfully (as far as I can tell, anyway). Everything works except for one thing. I cannot dial out using Contacts, PocketCM, or the Cube dialer. Dialing numbers manually works fine, though. I already tried uninstalling PocketCM. I am also using a few SPB apps, including the Phone Suite, but they have not caused problems like this for any other build I've tried.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Zach

Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

Hey all... I've been lurking on this board for a while waiting for this to be released. Yesterday I come back to find the rev a released. Unfortunately, I got ahead of myself and tried the upgrade steps on page one before reading further. Now I'm stuck... I have an Alltel vogue. I got the unlocker 2.31 on my device but every time I try to install the alltel rom, I get the error 202. I've tried everything I can think of. It's not bricked as I can reset and use the device but I can't go further. Any help???
Thanks in advance,
Brian

Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

I figured this out... In order to get the Alltel ROM to work, I had to log into my computer as someone else. Apparently I had something running that was preventing the ROM from updating. I'm now one of the happy souls that has a CDMA touch with GPS enabled. Thanks to all who worked on making this happen.

Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

I found the solution to my problem. The new ROMs have an option in Settings\Phone under Plus Code Dialing, where North American dialing is disabled by default. My contacts phone numbers have the +1 code included. Removing the +1 code from the contact, or enabling North American dialing both solved the problem.

Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

How did you do that? On my device, Settings, Phone, Services.........I only have listed:
Location Setting
Network Service
TTY Mode
Time Synchronization

Shouldn't there be more options, like IOA?

Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

I ended up having to load OMJ's WM6.1 ROM, which had that setting listed, and disabled by default. I can only assume that the gpstest2.1 ROM also had that setting disabled, but it wasn't listed in the services. I would imagine if that's the case, that is the sort of setting that could be changed via a registry tweak in any ROM, but I'm not sure.

Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

this may be a stupid question but is there a way to get my Touch, flashed to Alltel, back to the Sprint grey colors? I am not a fan of the blue.
