How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

I have the ALLTELL ROM installed with the 3 unlock files and the GPS cab....
Problem is I seem to have to soft reset every time i close GoogleMaps or TeleNav to get a GPS signal again. Anyone shed any light on this for me?

for some reason it wont let me install the 2 cff files for the unlocker. ionly installed the cab and then i soft reseted. what should i do now.

install them in order 1 2 3
the first one looks like it does nothing
the second one runs a cab
the third one looks like it does nothing

but yuou will get text messages sdtating that you have changed system settings....


it does work just do it

Ok i had the GPS working last night on the Alltel rom and when i flashed JD's rom it just says seeking for satelites and then comes up if i want to retry or cancel? I'm not sure what happen i have installed all the files and i don't know why its not working when i had GPS last night with the alltel rom before i flashed JD's sprint rom.

Did you install the GPS files on JD's ROM? because that's not necessary..

So i installed everything correctly, and i can confirm that GPS is not working (or at least in my area?) I go outside in the middle of my road and nothing. Wont find the satellite. It appears to be Rev A speeds thou, netfront loads the pages hella fast now. So thanks for all the hard work everyone ( you know who you are!) and keep this project going since sprint doesnt care about us!!!

Had the same behavior/issue. I let it sit for a good 20 minutes with no results. I did the reg edit posted above and the GPS found sats within a couple minutes. Not sure if it was because of the reg edit but it works so I'm not complaining.

I would like to thank those that helped get these fixes to work.

Anyone else running a Bell Mobility Touch (preferably in the Toronto area?) that actually has the GPS working? As in via satellites?
It seems that aGPS is working cause as I have posted earlier Google Maps shows my location as being in my general area.... but not really thaaaat close (+/- 0.5 KM)...

Am I doing something wrong in the config? Should I be configuring GPS via Settings -> System tab -> External GPS? And then letting Google Maps use the Windows will configure... blah blah blah?

Oh and watch out for the battery drain monster!!!
My phone was drained in 4 hours.... Mind you I forgot that Google Maps was using the "Use GPS" option in the background... DOH!

Anyway a little help would be appreciated....
