Re: New Alltel Rom?

ya just install the cab...i think theres that other program to turn off the security check.

The files are signed with a developer certificate so you will probably need to turn security off before they'll work correctly. I found a file to do that here:

good luck man..

That's weird when I have used the program in the past it stayed on Com4 when manually set, but again I maybe mistaken. Its been a while since I have used the program last.

Haha... I got pissed and did a hard reset. Workin my way back up to it though.

Ok. Hard reset, installed cab, installed task manager, installed GPS Test, set to com4, "GPS Starting up". That's as far as it gets. I'm not sure why it got further than before, but also why it stopped there...

As always, any tips... Thanks for all the help so far!

Nice progress hgray. Wish I could help you out. I've heard that it took a little while for the titans to locate GPS. How long has it been waiting?

Lol outside can be a bad idea. Just overnight the grass on my lawn turns to mud thanks to condensation and dew. Leaving your overpriced pda outside over night can be fatal.

I'd rather not have gps than have one that takes two days to get a lock! that'd just tease the crap outta me

Re: New Alltel Rom?

Will someone with a "bricked" Sprint device from running the alltel rom run this file: ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/Im...NV133_Ship.exe

If you have run the alltel rom this should get you back on track. Please report results. If you have lots of details for me a PM is fine.

SPL Update: 2.xx hard SPL seems to be fine, but still hasn't had success with the alltel rom so I'm holding off for a little. Also, it can't unbrick from the bootloader so it wouldn't be of much use to those that flashed already. It will however have overwrite protection so that the new exe files won't erase the hard SPL.

Damn you work fast... I'm impressed. Less than 24 hours from the time the new Alltel update was posted and you already have developed a way to save those who bricked their devices with it.

EDIT: Nevermind lol. I quoted you before your edit went through and then re-read your post. Hopefully this will help us Sprint users get the Rev A.

Final EDIT: To all of you Alltel users who already updated your devices to the new Rev. A ROM, is there a different connection icon that lets you know whether or not you are on Rev. A or EVDO like there are different icons for 1X and EVDO?
