tough cookie dude,

im kinda leery about taking the jump so early, plus sprint is sending me a new touch on monday, and i dont wanna go thru the process twice, but im itching to make the jump.

The first step to solving the problem is admitting you have one,

and i SERIOUSLY have a problem when it comes to electronics, lol

Thanks blisk, but what I'm concern about is distinguishing when the Alltel finishes and user customization starts. I've never used a rom that had customization so I'm not too sure what it'll look like. Just don't want to have that same problem as you mentioned. Thanks for you help.

You don't want alltel to start or finish. There's not any user customization how you're thinking it like in the custom roms. In those cases user customization is used to install programs you like so you can further customize the rom the way you like. It'll say customization will start in 3 seconds with a big ok button, and then it'll pop up and have a progress bar at the bottom. You don't want any of that.. it installs alltel specific stuff into the phone settings.

No, I changed nothing. Only added the chartcross GPS view. I also did not hard restart after flashing and let customizations run.

EDIT: Those customizations were run on JD's rom. I have never let the customizations run on the Alltel rom. Just to clarify for those trying to catch up. :)

Aright so I'm assuming you went from alltel to JD's new rom without hard resetting? Did you let alltel customizations run or are you referring to JD's customizations that ran?

im not having any luck with sat lock.
so far ive installed google maps/live, quickgps/patches/downloaded updates.

with quickgps running in the background nothing with maps/live
without quickgps in the backgroun nothing
google maps has put me off the coast of ghana
ive also tried live first to see if thats triggering the on/off function of the gps and i dont think it is..
ive mucked around with the external gps settings to no luck.
gps is on com4

any more suggestions?
can anyone tell me what "sddaemon" is in the startup folder?

Someone suggested (and I did) uninstalling the Titan GPS Enabler, reseting, then re-installing it. It worked for me.

Thanks blisk. Hopefully I don't screw up. If I do, will the instructions to going back be the same for Bell as it is for Sprint?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/arch.../t-256068.html

Its the "SPEED DIALING (the application that allows you to use the voice commandos to make calls or to execute applications)"

If you've been on a voice command custom rom you haven't seen that. Its the one where you have to make voice tags for everything.

As for gps i'm working on it right now.. you on JD's rom?
