For that matter, you can click on the chat button right here in the PPCGeeks forum. Many of the same folks are logged into both of the chat rooms.

If you unlocked successfully, press PWR [top button] + Camera [right button] and while holding them both, use your stylus to depress the reset switch [round hole on the bottom].

That should put you into the bootloader and you can load a rom

Remove the Battery then After 5 Mins Again Insert Battery

Now Press Talk + End Button and Simaltaniously Press Reset Button

This will show to Clear your Device

Follow the Process this must Solve your Problem

Put the phone in boot loader mode (power + Camera keys) then flash a stock bell rom , this will relock the phone if it boots then try the unlocking process again if not take it to bell with the stock rom loaded , tell them that your phone froze and you did a hard reset then it went into the looping .... they should replace it

Are you refering to the rar file with basekit in the name? I think that is an older version and it appears to have no2 and/or 107 in the name, as well.

Nontheless, I am in complete agreement with you regarding the desire to see OMJs (and others) work available via an update to the PPCKitchen, including support for the Touch / Vogue.

If I'm not mistaken that is the basekit for his v7 rom before user customization hit. I've updated the OEMizer.exe in the \kitchhen\tools folder so that it will save my settings from ppckitchen.org. That's the kitchen that I use, and quite comfortable with it. I don't spend hours creating nothing with it, I just use it to delete a couple oems and add some of my own. But all OMJ's 'tweaks' are right on and I don't fool with those. A good solid A+!

Edit: It is a commandline type kitchen, not A-gui like the one your referring to I think...

which ROM did you download & flash? I do have a stock Bell w/ 6.1 in my rom folder that I built for someone else, but I have never received any feedback. If you're still having a problem, let us know!

yep, boogsie is right, that is a kitchen I put together awhile back that has no2chem's v107 basekit....if ya look closer you'll see the one you're looking for ....though it's not finished yet.....getting closer though.

In the sdconfig.txt file, the cabs that require you to use the HIDE: command, all have a setup.dll in the .cab file. This is what makes memmaid bring up their help screen, 1-calc bring up their popup, and touchpal3 bring up the option for vga/qvga and then their option to select the default input keyboard.

I've briefly looked at the dll's with a resourceexplorer (I've posted it here, just search. I used visual studio 5 actually) for the above and see those inside. But someone somewhere did a nice tutorial on the setup.dll for cabs and now quite a few are using it. You can copy files, setup registry entries, just about anything.

I can just delete the setup.dll out of 1-calc and memmaid without problems and install them just via the CAB: command, but touchpal3 does some file manipulation to select the vga mode/default input keyboard. I didn't see that touchpal selects these via registry entries, but have only briefly searched. I think it is more like s2u2 where it copies the appropriate file to be the wallpaper.gif. I really haven't dived into touchpal3 yet though. I really haven't begun my programming career in c++ either, so maybee someone else can chime in with the details on this setup.dll.

edit: from my brief research this morning, the dll in the cab file has two handles pre-intall, and two handles post-install. (handle = options for the installer to call your custom-routines)

OMJ do you ever have issues with touchpal loading up transparently? I have to select a different input then reselect touchpal to make it appear.
