I was just looking at this, since I know how to get the default start menu to show while running QM. First is you have to check "replace..." off..

Here is the catch, click start and it shows QM, touch, click slightly right to off center and it shows default start menu... (this is how it worked on Apache)

Using OMJ's rom I see the default Start Menu try to show but QM pops over it.. Even Display on long press won't show it..

Ok found out what's up, turn OFF "Large Start Menu".. Click on "Logo" for QM, click on "Start" for System Default Start-Menu.

I was wondering that also, clockcycle... Thanks for posting up what you found. A lot of time people have a problem they solve and never post the info.

On another note... Is anyone else having any battery or data connection issues with v6?

My battery is only giving me about 8 to 9 hours of life with minimal use. I'm curious to see if something in the rom is the problem or if its my Touch. I have only installed SPB Backup, Weatherpanel, and Resco explorer since flashing my rom. It could possibly be my connection issues which I will go into now...

When I reset my Touch it can not reconnect to the internet. It tried to dial out and almost immediatly stops and say its can not connect for some unknown reason. Even trying IOTA to get it to connect fails. It will keep trying over and over to connect if I let it sit there. It only shows the 1X icon also. Now to the interesting part... If I make a call while this is happening it goes away and will connect to the internet after I hang up. An incoming or outgoing call fixes the issue everytime.

Anyone else seeing anything like this. I'm hoping to rule out OMJ's rom or my Touch as the problem. I'm almost positive something isn't right with my Touch since no one else has posted anything like this here yet.

not having any of those issues......maybe your battery is draining faster due to it continually trying to connect.......strange though

I just flashed to the omj 6.1 rom that I got from here. But the wait symbol wont go away. It just keeps running no matter what. I might get it to stop after a soft reset but that only works once in a blue moon, how can i fix this? Its annoying as hell

yeah, somethin's not right.....I would try a hard reset first, if problem still exists.....re-flash.

I have a question about this ROM. My wife's phone has a problem with it not recognizing incoming calls when it's in standby or hibernate. The only fix was to hard reset and HTC hasn't come out with a fix yet. Do you know if this ROM fixes that problem?

This ROM works great on my phone but I never had that problem so I figured it wouldn't hurt to flash my wifes phone. I havn't had the chance to see if it works on her phone since its so late but wanted to know if you guys were aware of this problem with the OEM ROM?

For anyone having battery problems, I noticed that if I turned my phone off while charging overnight my battery life is considerably better. The first couple weeks I had my touch I would just leave it on and charge at night and my battery life was real poor, turning it off seems to really increase the charge.

It was posted somewhere around here that once the LED light turns green while on a charger that the phone starts using the battery again and stops charging. If that's the case, the phone my be fully charged within a couple hours, but if you leave it on there for 8 hours, then its running on battery for 6 of those hours and only charging for the first 2.

What I do is leave it on and on the charger all night (since that's my only phone), then when I wake up I'll unplug it and plug it back it, allowing it to charge again until I leave for work.
