OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM with UC! v8 Updated 04-16-08

ok ppl, v6 is now uploaded to my FTP folder, see my first post for details, but here the changes:

Upgraded HTC Home Customizer to newest version
re-added the phone codes program
added AE Button Plus
added BT audio
added nueMMS

Pagepool is back to 12, due to a possible cause of freezing, though I have not had any problems. You can use the included pagepool changer to set it higher if ya like, though I'm not seeing much of a difference going from 32 down to 12.

just tested your rom OMJ. I discovered 3 problems: I can't receive any new text messages and the ##data# doesn't work for me and finally neither does sprint TV.

hmm, tested myself.....sent 3 txt's from 3 different phones, all came through ok.....##DATA# worked just fine.....sprint TV worked fine too......

question, did you manage to get the custom locations to upload their weather with hhc? everytime i tried it would give me that unable to get it message.. is it something in the registry settings? because i remembered it worked with another rom i flashed but i like this one 10 times better

i performed a hard reset and flashed again still the same problems occured. I reflashed to stock rom and everything is all good. something isn't right

Okay ppl.. Question those that are running v6 now have you had any lockups? It seems that any ROM available has this lockup issue. Please give feedback as mine freezes almost twice a day with heavy use.

Man whatever rom you use if you use it heavy enough its gonna freeze I guess my question for you is what are you using when it freezes that will help everyone out besides the touch is a ppc a soft reset a day keeps the troubles away

I primarly text and browse the web with Opera Mini and IE. The bulk of the lock ups occur during texting. THe keyboard I use is the PocketCM Keyboard v13 and the Iphone theme.

WHen it locks it locks when I type. I have tried other keyboards and it does the same.

Ok there is one of your problems if you noticed how many versions of pcm keyboard and contacts have they came out with this year alone ..... remember this early march .... I use happy tapping keyboard with no problems and IE yeah there were discussions about this the beta version of wm6.1 had a bug that cause PIE to freeze or be very slow and Opera well never had a problem there either I would try other software before you switch roms really some of the software out there never worked well with wm6 (it was still fairly new the touch is the second cmda device to get it) so you can imagine what the bugs in wm6.1 and the software conflicts create

What are u using for Happy Tapping. I have it install with the Iphone layout but in portrait the keys are way to small to use your thumbs. What are u doing to get around this
