Asurion replacing TP with TP2
 

I have TEP with Sprint and called yesterday for a replacement TP, they stated they were out of TPs and could backorder it for me. I asked for an alternative and the representative talked with the supervisor and sent me a NEW TP2 which arrived in the mail today. This won't last forever though! Only until their refurbished TP are back in stock again.

Asurion is a bit slow on the tracking email, don't worry, they will send out tracking number eventually :)

Lets do this before the TP refurbs are replenish.

Did they forget the whole $100 deductible policy and ask for $50 instead?

what did you say is wrong with your phone? or is nothing wrong with it? do you have to send back your old phone?

my phone had physical damage, so Sprint store won't look at it in store, anything that warrants you to replace you TP with Asurion allows u a shot at TP2

CONFIRMED...I just got off the phone with a Asurion rep who is sending me a TP2 NIB....she said it wont last long though.....
edit:They offered a Hero as well but I'm sticking with my SERO $30 plan

just tried, was only offered bb tour or treo pro....the rep would not budge on the tp2

If you have a broken phone w/physical damage, they will charge you more for advance exchange, which was my case.. so go figure =p

well they are still trying to charge me 100 for a treo pro or bb tour....i said f that.....they saids its comparable i said no its not. i tried a second time and got a different rep but still no budge.

they will charge you full price for advance exchange (as the phone has physical damage) as is kinda like a warranty exchange /.//asurion is an insurance replacemetn dont matter whats wrong with the phone jsut the deduct and u get the phone

confirmed just called 15 min ago.. assurion and will receive my touch pro 2 tomorrow the guy offered me a treo said nop.the reason i bought the touch pro cuz of keyboard not even comparable..and i also said that i have physical damage on ma phone....

easy!! just call back and tell them the chick offered u a tp2 and you just wanted to see what 1 it was online before u made a decision...if they argue talk to a supervisor.

hey bruce banner call back tell the representative that the chick offered a touch pro 2 cuz thay didnt have the pro in stock..but ur pro is so meesed up that u r loosing calls ..so u lost the call before she confirmed the order tell them is not urfault ur pro malfuntioning...

Jus tried to file a claim on phoneclaim.com & they offered me a Treo Pro to replace my TP with, uh hell no lol!

you should have called saying that the online system is offering an inferior alternative and that you are calling so she/he can enter the proper alternative which is (drumroll) tp2. ask for supervisor if she/he doens't budge and cross fingers boooyah

No I did an advanced exchage for the Tp, Upgraded to the Hero, Then just got a Tp2.

Gonna call in a little bit & see if they will budge & give me a TP2, but if not I'm not gona worry about it since I had initially planned to hold out until I hear confirmation from Sprint that they're indeed goin to carry the HD2

I think I will just wait until it actually says on Phoneclaim.com that I can get a Touch Pro 2 for my Touch Pro. My Touch Pro fell in the pool with me yesterday lol. Its acting real funny but at least it works. I always have bad luck when I call Asurion and sort of get nervous which is wierd lol.

nothing to get nervous about, you're paying for insurance and you're one of those people who jump in pools with your phone I kidd I kidd...just be accurate with how your phone got water damage, I'm guessing someone pulled you in to the pool by accident??:dontknow: and they will pay the deductible for you?! just don't say I did a cannonball in the pool and purposely had my phone with me...that is not cool.

Here's a scenario
"Hi I just tried to do a claim on phoneclaim.com but did not submit because the site offered an inferior alternative to my phone. now I'm calling to let you know that the palm 850 phone is in no way acceptable option and that the proper replacement option is a touch pro."

(for which they will say they are out if you call tonight), then you say

"the proper comparable or better alternative is the touch pro 2*"

if he/she says no ask to speak with the supervisor and repeat everything to supervisor and emphasize that the proper comparable or better alternative is the tp2 per the asurion policy."

then you pause and ask "will I receive the tp2 in two-three business days?"

before you call make sure you go to phoneclaim.com to do the claim but don't submit...they can actually see you tried to do the claim.

*if you have the policy with you even better, you can read it word for word and quote the section and line number for full effect.

I just called after phoneclaim offered a treo 850. They were really reluctant but after putting me on hold to speak to a supe 4 or 5 times and offering me every "comparable" phone that they had, they finally relented and are sending me the tp2. $100 deductible.

i guess ill try again and try the it was offered to me earlier deal, but my phone died and it cut out, which is possible, because i did hang up on them before, lol. and then ill ask to speak to a supervisor.

they try to give me the treo pro and I told them no?i'm not downgrading my phone because you don't have a touch pro even if it has the same features which it doesn't so they tried to bs us. I told them how a bout a touch pro 2 and No problem

so everyone is paying the $100 deductible for this? Cause if they've got them here, I'm gonna call my store in the morning and they already said once it was in stock they would order me one. I'm gonna tell them about this and see if they can get me one.

here's some more ammo for you.

touch pro has slide out keyboard - the touch pro 2 does too
touch pro has touch screen - the touch pro 2 does too
touch pro has xxx in memory - the touch pro 2 has xxxx memory
there are more similarities between the tp1 and tp2 add more if you want

none of the 'comparable phones' have all those combine features in one phone like the touch pro 2 does...

your closer: "will the touch pro 2 arrive in two-three business days?"
