Asurion replacing TP with TP2

you need to wait a minimum of 30 days I believe but im pretty sure you can call in like a week.

Just got off the phone with CSR and she said that the notes in my account stated that I was offered the same make and model along with some BS blackberry but the TP2 is not an option because the TP1 is in stock and is the most comparable. I told them I've had too many problems with the TP1 and they said well you may have luck in repairing those problems going into a repair store blah blah blah so i said I'll just wait until I can buy another phone (really waiting until they run out of stock) ...i'm dying here.

well mine was actually legitimate...i was trying to have the vm password reset so i can access it from another phone. My touch screen doesn't work nor does the numeric pad. When i called to have this done the lady winded up resetting my voicemail. Therefore i couldnt access any of my voicemail because you had to select options (via numbers and the # sign) and it can only be done on the initial phone. It was my bday and i had people calling me for jobs to be done and stuff. I emailed ecare and they didnt respond in a timely manner. So then i filed a bbb claim. they emailed me today coincidentally and i explained to them my situation. They also gave me a 25 dollar credit as well. so all in all 125 credit and new tp2.

Tell them you'd like to add 'TEP' they may or may not have open enrollment because you had to have put it on within a certain amount of days after activation of your phone. They might add it.

i added tep the same day i filed a claim..they don't care. if you file online however, you have to wait 30 days. sometimes they don't allow you add the TEP if your phone has been active for over 30 days...so this is the work around for that:

do an esn change to an old phone you have lying around..add the tep to the old phone. call back in 2 mins and do another esn change, the tep will transfer to your new phone as well...call back in 2 mins, file your claim. One time i had no old phone..i went on to ebay and found some mook who took a picture of the back of the phone with the serial exposed..i blew it up, got the serial and did an esn change to that phone and then right back to the one that was on my account previously..now i keep a few old ones lying around.

How do you change the esn number of a phone?

Also, I just chatted with sprint and they have just added TEP to my phone. do I have to wait any period of time to file a claim?
