Ya I wouldnt think so either and dont think many people would have returned them. Theres no way they are ever gonna get rid of all of our touch pros hahahaha

I am getting my TP replaced by Asurion with a TP
I was informed they have no, nor have they been giving TP2s to replace TPs Now of course this was one rep that I spoke with... they tired to give me a HTC Snap or Diamond or Blackberry Curve... I told them NO WAY!!! so they put me on a back order list to get a TP replacement, I should be getting it Monday |

I am getting mine tomorrow and I ordered it yesterday.. They will try to offer you a BB, Palm Pro or a Snap. Just tell them why those models are not comparable and nicely ask to speak to a supervisor. Explain what the previous rep tried to offer you and that you dont want another TP cause of all the issues it has.. BE NICE AND CALM.. They even billed my sprint account for the 100 dollars and sprint is gonna reimburse me for that.. It also helped that I had 3 TP refurbs in a month.. Good luck..

Just tried. Online gives me the Tp only. Called in and was only offered the TP. He said the TP2 would be considered an upgrade and told me to contact sprint for that.
Any successes today? |

I called Asurion on Saturday morning (about noon) to get a replacement phone as my Touch pro was lost. I was first offered a Blackberry, to which I said "No, I definitely cannot swap to that device". She put me on hold for two minutes, and then offered me the HTC Snap to which I responsded, "That really isn't a comparable device." She asked me, "What features are you looking for to make it comparable." I replied, "A slide out keyboard as it was the main reason I bought said device". She paused for a few seconds, then offered me the Touch Pro 2. I had the 100 dollar deductible added to my sprint account and I shall be getting it Monday. From the looks of things, I was one of the last people on Saturday to get the device, though that may be because my device was lost rather than damaged, but still functional. I assume that they can't make you wait on back-order if you have no device.
I forgot to mention that my Touch Pro was given to me for issues with the keyboard on the Mogul from Asurion when most people made the jump from mogul to Touch Pro via advanced exchange. I've had no issues with my Touch Pro and have never had any exchanges of devices besides when I went from Mogul to Touch Pro. Last edited by Quiksmage; 10-25-2009 at 04:06 PM. |

Well SOB, my claim from Saturday morning still hasn't processed and no confirmation email either. I called again and the lady at first was proceding as if I was calling to start the claim and it wasn't until I told her that I'd ordered one on Sat. that she looked at the notes.
She said that the rep had to do a manual order for the TP2 and that's why it hadn't gone through yet. Also, she said it's not guaranteed that it'll be a TP2 and if they're "out" they'll send a TP instead...I'll be pissed if that happens. Just have to wait and see I guess. Anyone else that ordered it Saturday get a confirmation email? |
