I didn't. The store I called told me they were switching them to TP2's and then echat offered me that through advanced exchange. A manager says he is working on it. But I'll probably have gotten my Droid and ported my number before they resolve it. Been a month now anyways.

Help!!! I called Sprint Customer service and then I was offered total crap. They offered me a refurb, HTC Snap, Palm Treo Pro, Intrepid (what the hell is that), and some Crackberries. This was after being on hold for a long time. She had a timer and said I was on hold for 47 mins! So any hoot, what should i do? My phone is acting up and I have 1 more month before my warranty is over and I dont want to use my upgrade. This is TP #4

I was at two local sprint service centers today because my tp has the same typical issues, heat, lockup, battery not charging, keyboard randomly not working etc etc etc. ALL Hardware issues.
The first service center was a privately owned reseller. All they offered me was to take a look at it and really tried their best for me to 'purchase' a new phone. Useless. The second service center I went to was an official sprint store/service center and wouldn't you know it a friend of mine works there as the manager. He showed me first hand on his computer that he was unable to replace a tp with a tp2. It was listed but it said "NO" for replacement. He was more than willing to do it for me if he could do it. He showed me the list of phones I could replace it with and none of them were even in the same league. snap, intrepid, bunch of bb's. I really don't care about a tp2, but it would have been a nice new toy to mess with, now with the cdma being unlocked... so anyway, I arranged a replacement with another tp and hopefully it will work out with another refurb. *fingers crossed* |

I got my tp exchanged a a sprint store for a tp2. my advice to all is be nice. dont go there damanding a tp2. I told the first rep this was my 3rd time exchanging my phone. She said if i wanted an upgrade that i would have to buy it. I stated no thank you i would take another tp. An hour later the tec came out and said we will be upgrading u to a tp2 do to ecessive excahnges. 3 days later a received a new in the box tp2. This was my first time touching this phone and had i seen this phone before this threat i would had bought it at full price..

Aman, it appears sprint is making you go into a store to validate your phone isnt' working, but from what the rep and supervisor told me on the phone yesterday, the sprint stores have the power to get you a TP2. (now, this is an official corporate owned sprint store... the cloest one to me is almost an hour away)
I had them send me a refurb touch pro (which I got today, less then 24 hours after speaking with them!) it seems to be alright so far (as they all have been, lol) but at first sign of trouble im making the drive to the sprint store and pushing for a TP2. |

My 2nd TP, a refurb replacement I got 6 months ago, has succumbed to the dreaded screen mega-glitch/ribbon cable issue. Went in this morning and the very nice rep is getting me yet another refurb TP hopefully by end of business tomorrow, but sadly no offer of the TP2, and I didn't push for one since I figured that wasn't the correct thing to do or way to possibly get one. If this next one has any troubles though, like the poster above me, I'm playing hardball.
