Got my TP2 today after ordering in in a corporate store on sunday night. After a **** load of getting kicked around, a manager who had at first been as ******* to me turned around and helped me out a lot. He didn't even let me wait in line at the store, soon as he saw me, he called me over to him and ordered me a TP2. Today when i went in, he saw me again and even though the store was crowded, he put me in front of everyone again and gave me me my brand new TP2, with the box and everything. He was actually worried and was constantly apologizing to me.

Love my new TP2!

Ok for those of us not willing to pay $100 for a defective phone that has insurance what options do we have? Will Sprint give us a credit for the cost of the deductible? I don't think that legitimate claims should have to pay to replace their phone. Perhaps this will help the situation with getting the Corp stores to order the "refurbed" phones when they come in if most people are going ahead and paying to replace their phone.

Just called my local store and this in now IN STOCK and finally able to be ordered! Maybe that is how Asurion is offering it as well. I am in Columbus, Ohio.

I had a legitimate claim. My keyboard was fubared. Sprint is giving me a 75 dollar credit after telling them that me paying for a claim on a faulty phone is "bad business". I had several chats with them before they did this. So I only paid 25 bucks. I got tired of the hassle so I just settled with that.

Ahahahahahaha, that is 100% awesome. I didn't think I was a big *** about it or anything, so hopefully (actually, on second thought, I don't particularly care) he wasn't all pissy about me. Was it a pretty big guy that had a Hero (he made a big deal of how he had gotten one and liked it when I was in there).

When I took it in, I just kind of explained all the trouble I've had, and how many times I'd been in recently and such. The techs were able to fix it for the time being, but were ordering the TP2 anyway before they found the one in the back (although this would have been the fourth time since Thursday it was "fixed", so...)

Anyway, congrats on your new phone. Thus far I'm enjoying mine, other than that my old ipod video cable / enable TV Out hack doesn't work anymore. Looking for an alternative there.

Actually, now that I think of it, the Maplewood store has been pretty good to me. They've told me a couple of times that they tested and found nothing wrong when I had completely legit issues, but they've also given me a new (sans box) TP for my fourth replacement, and a NIB TP2 now.

Oh, and I think a Thanks is in order for coming back and posting that, it made my day. lol

you lucky lucky lucky man! as soon as i saw this, I CALLED RIGHT AWAY! and my area is still OOS he actually said he check the new ones too and those are OOS. :( just gota keep waiting i guess.

Well I've struck out 3 times at my store being able to order it, so I'm going to just get a refurb TP and then just see what happens.

I just tried asurion, and was told id be sent a TP1. I don't know if maybe they don't see they are out until they actually try to place the order or what, but I was scared to risk $100, given the luck ive had so far.

i read about this lastnight and since i just had my phone replaced by ASSurion about 3 weeks ago and my TP locks up and causes me to hard reset, so i dicided to call ASSurion this morning and see what they could do I argued on the phone with the tech for about 10 mins after he tried replacing my phone with the htc touch he almost made me laugh i said it dosnt compare and told them their policy of replacing with same if not better and he re-offered me the diamond. i explained that the diamond does not have a keyboard or a sd card slot and to speak with his supervisor but he wouldnt budge. upon being transfered to the supervisior she told me she would replace it with a treo pro, bb curve, or a htc snap so i put my best face on and argued my point of them being inferior models to the touch pro and she offered me a one time TOUCH PRO 2 replacement i dont even have to give them the $100 deductable because they just replaced my phone weeks ago!!!!! I <3 asurion, just stand your ground and argue that no phone can compare with a touch pro except a touch pro =)

Sprint charges an additional fee on your account if you have a Blackberry device. I believe it is 10-20$ per month to have the Blackberry services.

I think the charge for the blackberry is depends on which plan you have. For me, Simply Everything and Everything Data the last few months, when I would activate my curve, I would have no change in the price of my plan.

those that got the asurion TP2 was it NIB? ups package says 0.90 lbs. = roughly 14.4 ounces.

Just my luck...I went through 4 TP in the last 6 months. Now they offer a TP2 upgrade and my TP is working with no issues..Any Ideas on how I can get a TP2?

Should be ok I had a brand new crap out in like 2 weeks and my refurb lasted up until now. The new one was bought in March.

That's what I did. I didn't think the TP2 was that much of an upgrade anyway. I would have took the Samsung Intrepid over the TP2 just because it works! I cancelled my contract with them and went back to VZW and got me the Omia for 49.99 and I feel like I got an upgrade for real. I will not get another HTC phone. I especially didn't have to put up with Sprint's crap. I don't understand why everybody want the phone that we already know has issues :scratch: but you know who am I. I absolutely LOVE my Omnia :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen: and VZW! :mrgreen:

I just went into the store and said I was having the overheating problems, where the phone would get hot and stop charging.

They believed me and ordered a TP2 for me. Have it in my grubby little fingers as we speak!

stopped into a spint franchise repair place earlier, rep knew about the Wel list and memo. He offered me the other phones, and said that the only WinMo fone that would be on there would be the Palm Pro and the TP2, and they are OOS of the TP2 in the system. I wes insistent that I would accept a TP1 if it resolved my issues, he said they are actively offering replacements, I said that I needed at least something with equal to or better features since I laid 299 down for the phone. We eventually put the TP2 on order and he put a note to check daily for availability, and agreed that the TP2 would be the best option unless something else like it comes out. I agreed to keep my limping phone untill that time came.

Looks like a TP2 is in the future for me.

What I am wondering is if his computer showed OOS today, then how are you walking out with one? Are they grabbing one of the shelf for you guys?

I just flashed the latest 'official' update from HTC, didn't bother relocking.

They swapped it out without any hassle.

I was told that it would take about 2 days. They called me the next afternoon, less than 24 hours after I'd been in the store and said it was ready for pickup.
