would you mind loading the attached cab, letting it run for about 2 hours of normal use, and then posting a screenshot of it to show average power consumption? If the battery life is indeed what you say it is, id like to get a detailed list of your EXACT software configuration, any tweaks, etc, that you have performed so i can test it myself and try to find what is making it last so long.

+1 totally dont believe that anybody is getting 2dys. i dont text or get much mail and im getting maybe 6hrs wit lots of surfing.

especially with a stock rom, which unless im mistaken, is what both these fellas are claiming.

i didnt know there stock, total bs in my book. im flashed and do less on my ppc and dont get 12hrs let alone 2dys. i dont mind 6hrs cause i do lots of surfing but im not gonna lie about it.

All I'm using is Grooverom5 and my battery will last a good 24 hours before dead.. Now also know I use Metropcs so I dont use the web much but I do get about 75 text a day and send maybe 30 text a day and on average about 5 calls a day lasting about 5 minutes total lol... The only way my battery dies faster than that is if I play games like Assassins Creed or other comparable games then I get about 3 or 4 hours of battery lol

i'm just as amazed as you guys, that's why i posted this thread. it has to be some kind of fluke. the phone is 4 days old and i've only charged it once. maybe as time goes on, something will change. Yesterday morning I got the phone off the charger at 8am, and when i looked at the phone at 3pm (when i usually had to put it back on the charger) it was still at 100%?!? I had only used the phone for a few texts and emails and maybe 1 call at that point, but i've been using it for a few other calls, texts, and even skyfire (maybe 25minutes total) and i'm only at 60% now. It's ridiculous!

Phone is completely stock. took it out of the box, unchecked TouchFlo, installed MobileShell3.0, and here i am. I've even played around with MobileShell, customizing some menus and setting all my contacts.

Another issue is that i'm usually in places where the signal cuts in and out of EVDO and 1x, and the last couple of days i've been in very good signal areas, never leaving EVDO. maybe that has the most to do with it. or maybe the phone will hit 50% and then just die on me. either way, i just don't understand it right now, especially without a custom ROM or anything.

Yeah that really doesn't make sense for the phone to be at 100% after 7hrs w/no use.

And MS3 is a battery drainer...the guys at SPB know this.

Switching ROMs was able to produce a noticeable improvement in battery life. I am using raidzero's 6.5 ROM with no TF3D, Titanium or manila. Instead I have SPB Shell 2.0 (didn't like 3) and keep the interface simple. I can now get through they day even with push email on and not have to charge at all.

I prefer to charge every night anyway so I don't have to worry about the battery dying.

i used to have S2U2 on my old phone as well, which i haven't put on this one yet. i'd notice the phone would occasionally wake up on its own with S2U2, or maybe it had something to do with TouchFlo, but it hasn't done that with MS3 yet.

Though, i think it would 'wake up' when it switched from EVDO to 1x, so it might not have had anything to do with TF or S2U2

I agree.. 7 hours with no use.. phone still searches for signals which would use some battery life as signal strength would go up and down or even remain the same all day it would still send signals out as well as receiving lol
